Ugh. So LO (2.75) has been having more and more trouble cleaning up his toys. He will pile them all in a pile and then just not clean them up. I've probably let it get too bad and also done too much cleaning for him, but only recently has he flat out refused to help (he says no thank you.)
So, last night I took away all his toys. He knows they are in the closet and he can't get them back until he shows me he can take care of them (I've given him back a few and told him to put them away. He has, earned a few more, but won't put them away.) He seems to actually not care that they are gone. He says to give them away (if I name his favorites, he doesn't want those given away).
So, this clearly isn't effective. I don't want to back down/give in, but also...I want him to have his toys. I have a 2 month-old, and having him without toys is so hard.
