On my 30 before 30 list is "start blogging". Does anyone have any tips? Maybe once I'm pregnant I can blog for hellobee? *wink
But seriously, how do I get started? I'm scared my life isn't interesting enough.

@chopsuey119: I'd like to start for fun, and see where it goes! It would be amazing if it got to be successful, but I don't have high expectations...
I love to bake, and am learning to sew, and we do little projects around the house, so I am thinking some combination of those things.

When I started my blog, I meant to document my pregnancy and it turned into just documenting my life as I'm living it. I had ONE person reading my blog and now more people have found my blog. For me, blogging is just for me to talk about what's happening in my life.

If you want complete control over the look of your site, I'd either go with Blogspot or have someone install you WordPress software on a server somewhere.
WordPress.com hosted blogs are a good option too, but you don't get completely control over the look of your site. In general, I don't think WordPress.com hosted sites are a great option because you don't get the flexibility of Blogspot's templates or the power of WordPress theme/plugin system.

I'd be interested to hear the tips here... now that we're expecting, I've been thinking about starting a blog, mostly to keep friends and family up today.
Does anyone have a favorite host - blogger, wordpress, etc?
I'm not sure how technically inclined I am, so I would need something kind of easy...

@mrbee: What do you mean have someone install Wordpress software on a server? Is it a bad sign that I don't know what that means? haha

i'm on xanga because it's the easiest to use. i have made some amazing lifelong friends through there (as well as met Mr. Bee!) it's also the easiest to get a readership/comments because it's a community.
i'm at http://justbee.xanga.com
i really should get around to writing a post on this.... but i am biased towards xanga since i have been on it for 9 years!

@mrbee: BA HA HA. Sorry, that was mean. My DH is an accountant... knows a lot about excel but not much else about computers.

@sslm: I'm in the same boat. I know nothing and want to start but I don't think I'm my life is enough to carry a blog.
