We are having a couple of friends over tonight for steaks. DH is grilling, so I'm making the sides. What do you like to eat with steak?

Any kind of potato (including sweet potatoes!), baked beans, salads, those Knorr pasta/rice sides, and grilled veggies (my personal favorite!). We toss them in Italian dressing, wrap in tinfoil and cook on the grill. We also really enjoy grilled corn on the cob.

Quinoa or a nice summer salad. Skinnytaste has had some great summer salad recipes lately! I made the Three Bean Fiesta Salad for lunch last week and it was delicious!

Grilled asparagus and some kind of potato side are my favorites for steak. Sauteed mushrooms are nice for on top too.

We usually either do asparagus (I sauté it with slivered almonds and its so good) or zucchini and yellow squash with sea salt and olive oil in the oven. We aren't really potato people.

My husband likes sauteed mushrooms and onions for on top, and kale with steak.

Since steak is kinda heavy I like lighter sides than typical carb-heavy tater sides or creamy things.
Our go-to steak sides are Caesar salad, roasted asparagus, grilled summer squash, fresh sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, a summery type quinoa salad, grilled onions and mushrooms.

Roasted carrots, so easy and delicious!
I peel and rough chop a ton (like 3 pounds) of carrots because they shrink up. Then top with 2 tbs of melted butter, salt, pepper and dried dill... mix it all up and spread in a thin layer on a baking sheet or roasting pan.
Stick it in the oven at 375 - 400 degrees for 20 mins. Take it out, stir it up, and then put it back in for another 20 mins.
