Hi ladies,

My daughter is almost 11 months old. In the last week or so, she's been crying in the car (rear facing convertible car seat in the middle seat), and we have a 10 hour road trip ahead of us in about a week.

She's never loved the car, but it seems like now that she's more alert and interactive, she really hates being strapped down and staring at the back of the seat. I think it's just a boredom and frustration thing rather than a comfort thing because if someone is back there with her she's happy as a clam. She also takes good naps back there when she's sleepy. We give her toys and blankets but they usually end up on the ground after a few minutes. She has a mirror so we can see her and she can see us, which seems like maybe it helps a little.

Any suggestions of things that helped your LOs, or is this just a stage to tough it out through?
