@thisisme: Thanks we are excited! Can't wait for your update tomorrow

@FaithFertility: I don't feel anxious because I guess I feel like I know they are going to recommend IVF and have kind of accepted that this is the next step. I will be anxious once there is a plan and I have a more definite timeline.

@thisisme: I totally feel the same way. I try to read from my phone and then can't properly respond since I only have so much patience trying to type on a small screen. FX for tomorrow's beta test…have the lines gotten darker with your HPTs? I'm excitedly anticipating your results and very happy for you!

@Mrs. Polish: FX those pups are safe and sound somewhere out there. Spring break vacation sounds fun! Its hard for me to fathom those things anymore since I've been out of school for such a long time now.

@MrsTal: Your cruise sounds fun! Hopefully that's what will help you get your BFP.

@littlek: I'm glad your RE is not too concerned about the DOR and you have a plan in place for the next steps. Also, my DH is similar, if I'm feeling down about TTC, he'll ask me what I want to do (hence our extravagant dinner this past weekend and earlier this week).

@mrswin: How long will your vacation be? France and Spain were the countries I wanted to visit last year. We only visited Paris but the croissants were so yummy! Also, I was so disappointed with TTC and DH was open to us traveling there to cheer me up since I've never been. When I get KU, I'm hoping we can plan a trip for Spain and Portugal.

@mrs bunchy: 22 sounds awesome! That means you ovulated! My RE just looks for a progesterone level greater than 10 to indicate a chance at being KU. FX that this is your cycle! What was your BD schedule like if you don't mind me asking?

@Leialou: FX that this last cycle really is THE LAST cycle because you'll be seeing a BFP. :hugs:

@Sprite: Excited to hear of your news! I've been secretly lurking on the POAS sites to see who on here has some good news.

@Happygal: you're so great at making everyone feel included! Are you still feeling relaxed from your cruise?

@LindsayInNY: woohoo for the good news!

@babycanuck: That's awesome that you were able to move everything up! Hopefully, the results are positive!

@bhbee: hopefully, it ain't over til AF arrives. But, yay for your family's next big move. Have fun with the house hunting! Are you going to find a fixer upper or a move in ready home?

@faithfertility: good luck on the WTF appointment! But, with no AF, hopefully that means you still have a chance unlike me, as explained below.

    WTF update:
RE said that the last two cycles on Femara (2.5 and 5 mg) were anovulatory (I did not ovulate at all) so he's going out with the big guns next. Rather than having me wait to see if I'll ovulate with lower doses of clomid, I'll be on 150 mg of clomid with CD13 u/s and learning how to do trigger shots and inject myself based on when they tell me to do so, followed by 7DPO progesterone test, and another WTF phone consult on CD26. WTF! CD32 (I mistyped my last post) and all those OPKs didn't mean anything?!?! He told me that OPKs won't do anything for me because of my hypothalamic anovulation diagnosis which is what I had thought but did them anyways in the hopes that I was an anomaly.

**BFN and waiting to take provera so that I can start my next cycle on clomid is the end result of this long post.

@bhbee: I saw your relocation package includes packing service and I always feel compelled to warn people because it sounds awesome but it can be overwhelming.

My company relocated me and they sent packers. Everything I wanted to be packed had to be put out on a flat surface or they wouldn't pack it. There was three guys vs. one of me trying to keep track of what they were doing. My house was a disaster for 2 days before they came because I had to set everything out....there was stuff EVERYWHERE. Also probably the worst part for me was that they did NOT pack by room or in any logical manner, they pack for maximum efficiency, if there is an inch of room in a box they will find something to fit in there and nothing is labelled so when you go to unpack it is reverse chaos! Sorry to be so negative but I went into it thinking that it would be so great and I actually cried when they left because I was soooo overwhelmed! LOL

@mrswin: I bought the combo pack of 100 OPKs and 25 or 30 HPTs. For the past **15 months of TTC, I'd been using digitals and CVS generic brands which got really expensive.

@lazypanda: We are going for 10 days and we decided to go after our 3rd IUI failed. Croissants are a weakness of mine and I feel like I will be eating a lot of them! Glad you had your WTF and have a plan.

  6. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrswin: ugh, I'm totally afraid of this. I'm tempted to pack a bunch myself to keep it more organized, but I'd rather have them do the fragile stuff. I doubt it works that way though, I'm betting it's all or nothing for insurance.

@mrswin: I'm jealous of both your trip and your cleaning lady!

@Happygal: We are cruising with Royal Caribbean, I just found the out about the other tour companies and it is so much cheaper that I may have to book through them. And your lap is soon! Only two weeks!

@LindsayInNY: vacation sounds amazing! Hope the rest of your tests come out good for you.

@babycanuck: Hope your HSG goes well! Glad it got moved up!

@bhbee: my fingers are crossed for you! What reasons would they cancel the cycle? I'm hopeful that the IUI will give us the extra boost next month.

@thisisme: I was super hopeful but I've had my cry and I'm ready for next month. Can't wait to hear about your beta!

@FaithFertility: I started spotting, so I'm pretty sure I'm out. but I'm hopeful for next month. I hope your body starts cooperating soon.

@lazypanda: I hope the next cycle works out for you with the higher dosage.

***BFN waiting for AF, IUI with clomid next cycle.

@happygal: lol. Guess I should use commas. It was a bacon cheddar burger with chip dip on the side he's a master griller and is always making dips. Maybe we should make up a burger dip next ??!!

Thx everyone for cheering me on !! Really trying to stay hopeful. Good thing I work with ill people all day and now feel like I swallowed razor blades. I'm trying to hold off on taking anything!! Test date is next Thursday.

@mrsbunchy: haha, that's the first time I've heard that expression used for DTD. DH is definitely enjoying our TTC esp after our first RE appt when he got the green light to BD EOD. I actually was thinking on behalf of DH when I asked re if we could continue to have intercourse outside of the TI schedule he prescribed and he said that EOD is fine. I'll be eagerly anticipating your update next week!

I'm ok. Still looking forward to IVF starting soon. We aren't doing medication this cycle and this week is my fertile week. If DH is up for it, I'll see if we will BD.

He just dropped off his sample today for a SA for IVF testing.

Oh, I'm doing herbs this month, but haven't been good at taking them. It's so gross. I lied to my acupuncture and told her I was still taking them. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I've had the herbs twice in the last 19 days. The herbs are just so gross the drink.

Anyway, so maybe I'll be in my TWW next week... But maybe we won't.

I'll have to go back and read this whole thread this weekend!

It's been a very long and trying week for me... I found out my grandmother passed away while I was on my way to another funeral. Her funeral is today, so IF has sort of been the last thing on my mind. However, I got my start date for stims (tomorrow) and I have my first monitoring appointment next Wednesday.

@MrsTal: they would cancel for some types of cysts on cd3 and too many follicles on cd11. I've never had either happen but have heard it from others. I'm actually really worried about cysts because my AF isn't showing but it's bfn.

@Shutterbug: I'm so sorry about this week. I hope starting things up can give you something to look forward to.

@bhbee: Still no AF? What DPO are you?
@bluestriped bee: What kind of herbs are you taking?
@mrs bunchy: sounds like good timing! fx!!!
@MrsTal: I'm sorry about the BFN Will this upcoming cycle be your first IUI?
@lazypanda: I'm sorry.. that stinks having an annovulatory cycle.. hopefully upping the dose will help!

@littlek: 18dpo . . . I have some cramping so I'm still hopeful for today. maybe if I take another test that will convince AF to show up ASAP!

I'm going to be really nervous for my CD3 because I feel like there may be a cyst at work here where they won't let me do meds.

@mrs bunchy: that is great news about your progesterone levels. FX for you!

@mrswin: I need to take a page from your book and find ways to cut things out of the budget to make room for a cleaning person! Although I still don't know if DH would go for it, a clean house is so low on his priority list.

@Happygal: hopefully March 21st will be here before you know it!

@LindsayInNY: that is wonderful the test results have been positive so far!

@babycanuck: hooray for getting your appointment moved up!

@BhBee: that is so smart of you guys not to feel pressured to buy when moving so far. If you don't find anything and rent at first, it might even be a good thing, to give you more time to learn the area and neighborhoods you'd like to buy in.

@lazypanda: WTF indeed, I'm sorry you didn't ovulate at all on those doses. Hopefully this new plan will be what does it for you!

@bluestriped bee: Ugh, herbs are the worst. My acupuncturist switched me from drinking herb to taking them in pill form after I couldn't stomach them. There is just nothing to make them taste better, and burping the taste up later is even nastier.

@Shutterbug: I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma

@bhbee: still no AF? Have you tested recently? Because of course that is the best way to ensure she rears her ugly head!

** update: I have betas on Monday, but finally got a confirmation on a digital this morning, looks like our IUI was a success. I keep waiting to wake up from the dream, or for the 3 tests a day I've been taking to go back to white. Nervous!

@bluestriped bee: Yuck, those herbs don't sound pleasant at all. When will your IVF cycle start?

@Shutterbug: I'm so sorry for your losses. Hugs. Good luck with your stims.

@bhbee: Ugh. I hope that it doesn't get cancelled for you. My RE mentioned a cyst in my last ultrasound so I hope our IUI doesn't get cancelled before we even start.

@littlek: Yes this will be my first IUI and I'm really nervous/excited.

@bluestriped bee: what types of herbs are you taking? I remember you saying they are gross. Are you moving forward with your IVF timeline as planned?

@lazypanda: hmmmm. I guess I'm kind of relaxed. We thought we would come back and spring would be right around the corner, but we've had snow and really cold temps. I feel like a brat for complaining though!

@mrs bunchy: I think burger dip sounds like comfort food I want to eat. Let's come up with something!

@bhbee: has your period been delayed before? Did they see anything at the end of your last cycle? Fingers crossed there are NO cysts!

  24. mrswin

    nectarine / 2433 posts

@Sprite: Congrats! Good luck with the beta's... today you are pregnant

@bluestriped bee: herbs are the worst but not as bad as the liquid fish oil I take! How are you supposed to take them, I started mixing mine with a small amount of warm water (instead of brewing a tea) and more or less shooting them. It helped to get it all over quickly rather than drinking it slowly.

@Shutterbug: Sorry for your loss and such a stressful week

  25. lazypanda

    kiwi / 636 posts

@bluestripedbee: I cannot stomach a lot of Chinese herbs. Probably best to be honest with the acupuncturist in case they decide to give you an even more distasteful herb to take.

@shutterbug: I'm sorry for your loss.

@bhbee: fx that it's a BFP or BFN and no cyst!

    @sprite: congrats!!!!

@Happygal: @MrsTal: @Sprite: so it totally worked, I sacrificed a wondfo and AF showed right up a few hours later! hahaha at least that biotch is predictable! I always have a long LP (even when I trigger and know O exactly) but I was getting nervous to have made it this far. but not all cysts are trouble anyway so fingers crossed for Sunday's CD3 wanding.

@littlek: woohoo on getting started!! that sounds like an excellent plan!

@Sprite: I totally understand your nerves, but so far your line darkening looks perfect! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear about awesome betas. I seriously almost cried when I read your news, partly because I am hormonal and partly because it's such a happy feeling to see someone in this group succeed

Oh my goodness, there's so much going on here this week - my thoughts are with all of you

I'm doing pretty well this week. I've been trying to keep myself grounded about this cycle - I don't want to get my hopes up. Of course, that's easier said than done, especially after having a good mid-cycle ultrasound today.

**The plan is to trigger Sunday night (3/9), IUI #3 on Tuesday morning(3/11). My favorite nurse did today's follicle scan, and she said both ovaries had one almost ready follicle, so I might ovulate from both sides. Lining was pretty fluffy (9.something), so hopefully this does the trick!

@MrsTal: @Happygal: @littlek: @mrswin: @lazypanda: @bhbee: thank you all so much! I have warm fuzzies reading all of your comments. you all!

@mrswin: I love that, and am going to keep repeating it to myself over and over...."today I am pregnant"

@bhbee: now your comment almost made me cry!

@Happygal: Sorry for the lack of details, I want to be sensitive in this group, because I am pulling so hard for all of you. But yes, I told my husband on Wednesday after the first faint FRER, and then had to talk him down from ecstatic to cautiously optimistic, especially since the digital was saying Not at that point.

I'll copy over what I shared on the 6+ months board: After over a year of charting, OPKs and fertility supplements, many anovulatory cycles, 6 months of acupuncture, 5 rounds of Clomid, being diagnosed with DOR and likely LPD, a Femara + injection + IUI cycle that was canceled due to crap lining and poor response to the meds, and after a second injection cycle with shots for 11 straight days, it looks like the IUI was a success!

Lab faxed over the SA results Wednesday afternoon. I called my doctor's office yesterday and again today... She wasn't in today so I somehow convinced the nurse to fax me the results. All normal!
