Here's my update: finally got the call this afternoon that my beta was positive and I'm officially pregnant!
Some of you already brought this up earlier today... I haven't been sure how much happy news to share here (or even how much worry to share. "My BFP line isn't all the way dark yet" seems so petty to worry about when I know how much it hurts to have never seen even the faintest of lines.)
As long and emotionally taxing as my journey has felt, I know many of you have been on a tougher, longer road. IF is so unfair, and yet all of you have such positive attitudes and this is such a wonderful community!
I hope it's ok with you all if I continue to hang around here for a while. I'm cheering so hard for all of you!

@thisisme: I am so excited for you!! I love positive updates in this group. It's harder to see the first-timers get a bfp but on here it feels so hopeful
@FaithFertility: yay for moving on to a new cycle!

@bhbee: I know everyone's situation is different. This was actually the first cycle ever that I had any chance at all of getting pregnant. We tried for about 8 months before getting the news in August that it's physically impossible for us to conceive without IVF. On the one hand, it's been a relief not to wonder and hope each cycle, but it's also really sad to me that we'll never ever have an unexpected pregnancy. I'm learning so much from the rest of you about all of the other kinds of IF treatments. I love how much hope there is here!

@thisisme: I know what you mean about never doing it on your own. I feel that way too. But I also think about it wasn't that long ago I would never have had one successful pregnancy! However long it takes - even if it never works again for us - I am so thankful these treatments exist.

I'm sure most of you know- I'm KU. I miscarried march 1st last year .. And that was at 1 yr of trying. So after 2 years, 7 rounds of clomid, and more ultrasounds I can count, we did it!
I promise it can happen for anyone after this! I swear I thought we were out and had to do ivf. I called around a ton of places and got quotes and everything. DH and I were holding off on buying a new car because of wanting to move and the Ivf cost. I feel like I'm still dreaming and won't believe it until the 1st dr appt.
Thank you all so much for your support !! I have been a lurker here for a lonnnggggg time before I decided to come clean and proclaim I have IF issues. Me. Not him.

@sprite: @thisisme @mrsbunchy: congrats to you all again!
I love hearing of BFPs from those who have been trying for awhile because it gives me hope that the time will come for me to have a LO, even if the journey to motherhood may not be what I had originally imagined/planned.
@faithfertility: yay for no AF on vacation! I guess we're not POAS/cycle day buddies this round.
I just started taking provera, was hoping for an outside chance of being KU. Just to be on the safe side, I went and bought an FRER (I have tons of Wondfo HPTs) and it was a BFN again. Looks like I may have AF while I'm on a girls' trip. But better dealing with AF than having to cancel my trip for an u/s that weekend. Although, I am a bit concerned about how the clomid side effects will take its toll on me during the weekend.

@lazypanda: Have you ever drank on clomid before? !?!?!? I feel.like it makes my hot flashes worse and made me have headaches! Have fun, but remain aware of your body!!!
kiwi / 636 posts
@faithfertility: it'll be my first time taking clomid and its 150mg! I've never had alcohol while taking the femara. I don't plan on drinking and pretty sure my friends will understand since I'm usually the mother hen in this group of friends.
@babycanuck: FX that the timing will be in your favor.

Weird weird question...is it bad to BD the night before HSG? should I wait it out?
pomelo / 5000 posts
@FaithFertility: glad you're getting AF out of the way before your trip! I'll make sure to update that for you. How long is your trip for?
@lazypanda: Clomid didn't mess with me too bad--hope it's the same for you! Why are they switching from femara to Clomid? Usually it seems to be the other way around. Where will you be going for your girl's trip?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@lazypanda: How did you like fermara?!?! I am thinking to ask for that if we have another round of IUI once we get somemore testing done!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@lazypanda: good I never drank on it with my RE and our IUIs but back when my OBGYN gave it to me I did and I remember it not making me feel very good!

@babycanuck: I had to abstain before my HSG. They will confirm you are not pregnant before they give you HSG.

@littlek: Okay. I'll wait it out. Did they do a blood test to confirm?

@bhbee: how did you appointment go today?
@just_ju: what time is your IUI tomorrow?
kiwi / 636 posts
@faithfertility: the first round at 2.5 mg, I was really achy and my boobs were sore and tender. I did not feel anything on my second round at 5 mg. My RE gave me the option of going the clomid or femara route at our first appt after explaining to us the risks and side effects of each drug.
@happygal: My RE decided to be more aggressive this time and put me on the high dose clomid for the next cycle because I did not respond to the femara. He said that it appears that both cycles that I've been on femara did not result in me ovulating. Once I get my CD13 u/s and another WTF phone consult, we'll know what next step will be taken. I'll be in the Big Easy.
@just_ju: FX for tomorrow.
@bhbee: hope your CD3 went well.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Happygal: @lazypanda: thanks for checking in ladies! there was a 2cm cyst on one side but the RE said it looked like it was collapsing and my estrogen came back normal so they told me to go ahead with the clomid. not looking forward to the crazy night sweats all week.
honestly today I'm feeling totally ambivalent about this cycle. if they had called to tell me estrogen was high I was ready to take the cycle completely off and prevent (ha!) for a month so I wouldn't even be tempted to test.
but I know it's probably just the hormones talking and I need to do cycles while I can see still this RE. I'm going to lay low this week while I'm visiting my mom and my CD11 will be here soon and hopefully then I'll feel more into it. St Patty's day wanding for me!

@bhbee: I am glad to hear you are starting again! St Pattys Day wanding how lovely

@lazypanda: So clomid is stronger?!?! I take 50mg clomid when I do IUI, I seem to get 1 good follicle maybe 2 and I want to up that a bit...to try for 2-3 mature ones, but my linning is always about 7-9mm and I am fearful of it thinning.....I gueas all ??? For my WTF apt!!!
