@lazypanda: How are you feeling?
@Jenn23: So sorry about your set back! I hope these 6 weeks go by quickly for you!

I can't believe it's time for a new check in thread already! My positives for this week:
- it's almost the long weekend!
- I just put my sock exchange gift in the mail
Sorry, really trying to think of positive things. I just got back from the doctor and I apparently have a lunch infection, and it's viral so it can't really be treated. I'm in pain, annoyed at work and fought with DH this morning. Fun times!
ETA: We also talked a little about TTC (my doctor is awesome!), and he gave me a requisition for blood work. I know I won't get it done, which is just hurting me more than anything else. He said once I have that done he will be able to come up with a plan of action.

@septca: Welcome! I'm sorry that you're here but this is a really great group, and hopefully your stay won't be too long
@purplepumps: sorry you’re not having a great week, but that’s good news that you DH will be back in time for the IUI! Fx!
@mrstal: Yay for getting the grant in on time, I’m looking forward to your update about it when it comes back.
@happygal: Omg, congrats!!!! That’s amazing news and I am so happy for you
@lazypanda: I agree with the support on this thread, it’s definitely one of the most supportive groups I have experienced.
@doxielove: Congrats on getting your CMA certification!
@snowdrop: GL with your appt, I really hope you get the referral
@greenthumb: Welcome!
@shutterbug: I’m glad you had a great vacation in Mexico, it sounds like it was a much appreciated break for you guys. GL with your appt next week.
@sunshine1810: I’m so excited for you for your puppy, I love dogs so much. I want another one but three seems like too many… that’s great news about your IVF progressing and I’m sure you will do fine with the needles and fx that the margarita is your last one for say, 40 weeks
@leialou: GL for tomorrow!
@mrsbunchy: I’m sorry you got upset at work, I have definitely had those days and it never seems to get easier. But at least you are moving forward, that’s really positive! Enjoy your long weekend off together! My dh is also a golfer so I know how that is.
@mrs.bird: GL with surgery tomorrow. I think going straight for IVF sounds like a great plan if that’s what you guys are comfortable with doing. However, as someone who has a severe needle phobia, I completely understand your hesitation. I wish there was an easier solution.
@kelli_deluxe: I really hope that someone cancels so that your dh can be there for the ultrasound. I’m glad that everything is going well so far
@lindsayinny: great news that your dh is not a carrier!!
@jenn23: So sorry to hear about the delay with your clinic, I would be so frustrated. I hope the next 6 weeks fly by for you!

@GreenThumb: welcome & yay for having a next step planned out!
@doxielove: yay on the CMA! Are those the letters you would put at the end of your name professionally?
@LindsayInNY: yay for DH not being a carrier!!! That's a huge positive! I'm hoping your TI & first round of clomid is what you needed this cycle though!
@Sunshine1810: raspberry margarita sounds tasty! My drink of choice is usually a glass of red wine or else some watermelon & apple soju. Yay for injections class going well especially given that you ended up being on top of it with your questions & reminders!
@Shutterbug: yay for your fun trip to Mexico! As for stress relieving tactics, I've found guided imagery to be super helpful. I can send you a link of a guided imagery script when I get home from work tonight if you'd like.
@Leialou: how is your skin doing with the vivelle patches? Has the nurse provided any ideas on how to help with the irritation?
@bhbee: good luck with all the moving preparations & I'm so excited for you! I guess it's been an auspicious birth month for the both of us!
@CupQuakeWalk: when will they start the next step for you. And isn't it a wonderful feeling to know when AF is arriving rather than always wondering & stressing?
@mrs bunchy: yay for having a 3 day weekend!
@mrs. bird: good luck with the surgery!
As for me, my betas came back at 12! I'm hoping they increase for beta #2! My FRER this morning was a faint positive but definitely not a squinter, I got a squinter on a wondfo & my clear blue easy plus was a faint positive as well!

@Kelli_Deluxe: FX that someone does cancel! Which base will your DH be transferred to? I'm feeling good but a little worried about the low beta number. Then again, the RE nurse did caution me about how early I tested.
@alohaorchid: FX that a plan of action will help you move forward!
@jenn23: I'm sorry about the delay. I hope it will just mean that it'll be the best timing for your procedure! & March babies are nice because you'll be able to enjoy the weather.

@alohaorchid: Sorry you are having a rough day.
@lazypanda: Actually, it would be an April baby. And I just went and did a calculation of estimated due date if my transfer is late July (just picked July 27th randomly) and up came my marriage anniversary as the due date. (April 17) How cool would that be?! Best anniversary gift ever! So when do you go for the next beta? How many days past O are you with this current beta? Fingers crossed for you!!!
@Kelli_Deluxe: Thanks!!

@Kelli_Deluxe: sorry they couldn't move it up - fx someone cancels and you get their spot!

@septca: So sorry you are joining this group! But I'm selfishly happy to have familiar company.
@LindsayInNY: Hi friend! I"m so excited for you to start your new job and even more excited that Jason isn't a carrier of that genetic issue you were worried about. Good luck during your TWW!
@PurplePumps: Cheer up, lady! Its great your DH will be back in time. Do you like when he goes away for work? I enjoy a little free time when my DH works and I don't see him for a few days. That sounds awful but its true!
@MrsTal: Woo hoo on the grant application getting timely submitted! When do you hear back?
@Happygal: Congratulations!!!!!!
@doxielove: Congrats on the professional certification.
@Snowdrop: I hope you get the HSG for free! I'm impatiently waiting to hear back on whether or not my insurance will cover my HSG that my obgyn is recommending. I fear it won't be covered at all.
@GreenThumb: Welcome and good luck!
@Shutterbug: I'm so glad you got to take a trip to Mexico and that you enjoyed it so much. Keep that enjoyment and relaxation in your mind as you start your next treatment cycle. Shingles are no joke!! I'm sorry you developed that condition.
Sunshine1810: I really hope thats your last alcoholic drink for a super loooooonnnngg time. Good luck, doll!
@Leialou: A neutral week and no stress can certainly go down as a good week in my book! Fingers crossed for the transfer!
@bhbee: I'm sorry you are already anticipating how much you will miss your friends. But think about all the new friends you will me in Texas!
@mrs bunchy: I double checked my insurance today (for no good reason) and confirmed (again) that I do not have insurance coverage for anything IF related. FML. On a side note, I think we have the same husbands! Mine gets a few days off a week and golfs every day! But he's usually done by the time I get home so I don't care and I'm happy for him to have a good hobby (albeit it a bit expensive) and good friends to be with during the day.
@mrs. bird: I have a HUGE issue with needles also. But when I had to deal with them for an issue a few years ago, I actually found the small needles to not be too bad. The big intra-muscular needles are also not too bad once you get used to them. Just get over the hurdle and you'll be fine. Its way less painful to deal with them donating blood for the red cross which still, to this day, causes me to nearly pass out from pain and anxiety.
@Kelli_Deluxe: I'm praying you get an ultrasound appointment before your husband leaves. I really want him to see the baby!!!
@alohaorchid: What's a "lunch infection"??
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
As for me, my positive is that the obgyn didn't think DH's SA was anything to cause concern. Whew! I'd been freaking out about it for a week. We are still trying our best to get pregnant even as we sort our a plan for fertility treatments. BDing storm has commenced!

@MrsMcD: I'm totally impressed you managed to reply to everybody after it flipped to the second page! I always have trouble once it crosses pages, is there an easy way to make that work?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@bhbee: Bahahahah! It was a bitch to do!!!!!! Thank you for noticing my efforts. I really want to connect with everyone here.
@mrbee: help us out here!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@MrsMcD: Yes, how do you do that? Do you just copy and paste the names? I never have figured that out!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Jenn23: So I reply to one person. Than I copy that reply. Flip back to the previous page and hit reply to another person. Then I past the previous reply. Copy both replies and go back to the first page and do it all over ago. Oh gees, I sound lame. I'm actually a super busy working lady! How do I ever find time to do all this?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Shutterbug: Thanks! I hardly think I'm the first person to ever do that, though.

@MrsMcD: you win "best friend" award for replying like that, haha! I'm of the mindset that if you're on page 1 and I'm on page 2, oh then it is a missed opportunity for us! Haha
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@lazypanda: it's bad! Every time I take off the patches I break out. So I can't scrub the adhesive off for a day or two because it's extremely irritated. So when I can finally get it all off it's time to change the patches again and the process starts all over! I talked to the nurse about it last FET and she told me I could switch to oral estrogen, but as a last resort. They much prefer the patches because the medicine is steadily absorbed. So I decided to just deal with the irritation.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@MrsMcD: haha! Maybe when it's just a few days, but a little over a month is way too long! That plus a month long trip killed a cycle of TTC for us!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@PurplePumps: True that, re: one page. I've gone back like two pages before and whew that's an effort.
@CupQuakeWalk: Thanks, friend! I'll take that award. And I'll try to search you out and respond even if you are three pages back!

@Shutterbug: so i was reading this and it made me feel like maybe i could handle the testing for IVF. the anxiety i feel over blood draws/needles seems like it's great enough where it would impact the outcome in a negative way, but if they can minimize the number of times i'm getting stuck, i could work with that!

@septca: thank you!
@Sunshine1810: thanks! hope your injections go well, please do keep me posted!
@Kelli_Deluxe: WTF?! i'm pissed for you. did you tell why you needed to bump it up?? they should be able to swap you in and make someone else wait. i'm so sorry, i hope someone cancels! thanks for asking about mr. bird, you're very thoughtful! the background check for that position did come back and they also offered him a job. i'm getting frustrated because he's STILL interviewing places. put away the suit man! pick a damn job and be done with it! haha. impatient wife
@Jenn23: that lab is shut down?!? like something is wrong with it or why did they shut down? that's terrible! i'm so sorry. they're sure they'll be up and running again then? that must be very stressful. thank you for your encouragement re: needles! i feel like such a giant baby, but they freak me out and i can get over them once in a while, but multiple times a day for an extended period of time... yikes! did your SO help? i know mine won't, he's also afraid of needles he won't even be in the room when my mom gives me my b-12 injections. yes, my mother has to give me my shots because i can't do it myself and mr. bird won't do it
your anniversary is my birthday, and it is an excellent birthday! i hope to share it with your LO
@alohaorchid: sorry you're not feeling well i mailed my exchange package today too! why don't you want to have the blood work done?
@lazypanda:
grow, baby, grow!
@MrsMcD: you are super brave to donate blood! i have to have IM injections monthly, but i my mom does them maybe i could get her to do my injections... hmmm..... would that be weird to ask of her? haha. she's a good sport about this stuff and she's a nurse, so she's got experience! hope your HSG is covered! i just looked and mine was $850, but i am very fortunate that ins covered it all without so much as a copay. going through this without IF coverage must be such an added stress. so sorry!
my positive for the wk: mr. bird has job options (if only he'd accept one!), tuesday i have an appt to register for my classes, and some friends who live abroad came to visit & shared some exciting news, i did a really great job being a positive and excited friend and didn't go to the sad 'wish it were me' place.

@Kelli_Deluxe: I really hope someone cancels so they can get you in for an ultrasound with your DH there!!!!
@alohaorchid: I'm sorry you're having a tough time! I hope things pick up and you have a good weekend! I also hope you feel better soon! And I hope that it's my last Margarita for more than just this cycle as well! Thanks!
@lazypanda: Yes, I can't wait! In regards to being on top of it with my nurse, I feel like I have to be. I am so glad that I am so far able to keep on top of it, but so afraid I'll miss something along the way as well! Tough to balance! I am so happy for you though!!!! Keep us updated on your betas!
@Jenn23: Umm if you had your baby on your anniversary that would be amazing! Plus the April birthstone is a diamond. I was always jealous that my sister's birthstone is a diamond.
@MrsMcD: Me too, thank you! So glad your DH's SA results were nothing to be concerned about! That is such a relief! FX for you!

@mrs. bird: Thanks for the info about the cost of your HSG.
A new HSG question for you girls: Did your HSG involve an anesthesiologist?
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@mrs. bird: yep! I've done it a couple times for studies they've done (even wrote a post about it, actually: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/if-monitoring-with-spit-instead-of-blood)
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@MrsMcD: nope! An NP, an RN, and a radiologist were the only ones at mine. They didn't give me any kinds of medicine or sedation.
bananas / 9628 posts
@MrsMcD: mine did not. there was a radiology tech and an RE who preformed mine. i took motrin ahead of time, but there was no pain med or anesthetic. i've heard they're often performed by NPs, not even Drs, that would prob lower the cost if that's an option

Friends. I want to reply to everybody, but I gotta admit that my head has been swimming today! I'm so behind on everything.
I've asked Mr. Bee to create a pop-out box so you could reply on long threads like this. I think the more people who comment on a suggestion, the better chance it has to happen! For now, I split the screen on my little laptop.

Beta was at 36. They left a message for me on our online portal. The nurse said that's a little low, but maybe I'm just starting out slow. Doesn't an IF nurse know the danger of writing a message to a patient like that? I've been reading about beta #s all afternoon.

Oh my! so much to read already! I can't keep up!
@LindsayInNY: Im so glad DH's test came back well!
@Happygal: Congrats on the ! That nurse needs a slap. seriously! I'm sure your beta will double well!
Why must the desk clerks at RE's offices be total brats? At our REs office, the woman who answers the phone is SO rude!! She is awful, awful. I can't even believe it. Ugh. I've been trying to call the office since 10am, and finally she answered at 2. (Until then it just went to voicemail or the "hospital's" phone line. It's almost 3:30 and no call back from a nurse yet. I got a +OPK today so tomorrow should be the day of the IUI, but how can we schedule it if I can't talk to a nurse?!
Sorry to be so negative. I only got about 4.5 hrs of sleep last night and this RE's office is driving me batty!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Happygal: You're only 11/12 DPO, right? No worries. My 10 DPO beta was a 7. Yes, a 7. And I have a very healthy, stubborn baby to show for that "sure to be a loss" number (yes, that's what a nurse said).
pear / 1556 posts
@Happygal: I don't know what is wrong with RE nurses! Mine is awful and insensitive too! FX that your beta will double and you will show her!
@Mrs. Pinata: Is this a common theme at RE's offices? Not the receptionist, but the nurse I deal with at our office is SO rude. You would think that people in that position would need to be kind and compassionate, but they aren't! I hope they call you back to schedule your IUI!
