    @owlteach: wow. That makes *me* angry because it's just patently untrue. My doctor, who is a pelvic surgery specialist, always tells me we need to hold off on another lap because the endo growth is likely causing less damage than the potential scar tissue from another surgery would. Once we're done having kids, I will have another lap to clear things out and then get a hormonal IUD.

I'll update the list with everyone's info later tonight. For Memorial Day weekend, we'll be at a friend's wedding. DH & I are postponing out yearly Yosemite trip to a future date due to the timing of the wedding & how busy work has been for the both of us.

    Dear lord....this is a fast-moving (and very positive) thread! I'm in the midst of a busy week at work and frankly feeling exhausted.

    @mrs. bird: Hope your labs looked okay and you feel better soon!!!

    @Sunshine1810: I can't believe how soon your ER is planned! SO very excited for you!

    @Happygal: Thanks for the updates!

    @Jenn23: I'm hoping for late June/early July start...I think.

    @owlteach: That sounds like very good news! I hope you get your BFP soon!

    @MrsTal: I hope you have a wonderful consult tomorrow! BTW: I think I was more preoccupied with potential side effects, activity restrictions, and thoughts about adjunctive treatments...once I had satisfied my curiosity about success rates, recommendations for ICSI, further testing, etc. Your questions are very thorough!!!

    FX for embryo transfers and to all the pregnant bees! Wishing you all a restful weekend!

    @mrswin: Oh my gosh! I had the fuzziest head for a week after we got back from Italy. A friend told me to anticipate one day of jet lag "messiness" for every hour of time change. The good thing is that Mr. P and I were so exhausted that we went to bed every night by 9/9:30pm and woke up before 6am, but unfortunately we are now back to staying up too late.
    I'm so glad you loved your trip! I visited Barcelona when I studied abroad in college and I LOVED that city!

  14. Mrs. Pinata

    blogger / pear / 1563 posts

    So, an update on me. First of all, I'm very grateful I have full use of both hands after my "knife/ER" incident in Italy. As of Sunday, I'm finally down to just a band-aid after practically not having the use of my left hand for over 2 weeks. Even after getting my stitches out last week the Dr. still had me in a hefty bandage to keep it from getting wet or bumped too hard because he was concerned it might split open a bit (shudder.) And I've attached the picture of the gigantic bandage/splint job done in the Italian ER for reference of how little I could use my hand for the first 4 days. Seriously!

    I'm definitely still in the 2ww. I guess today makes 6dpo, but it feels like much longer. ha! I guess if I don't start AF by next Friday I'll POAS, but I just hate those things, so I try to avoid them at all costs. I'll sure be disappointed if this cycle doesn't work, but I'm trying to tell myself there's still just a 10% chance each month and to not give up. I know we've technically still been TTC for the past 2 years since we brought Little P home (and I don't even want to think about the 3.5 years total of TTC it's been), but actually having treatment gives me more hope than all those natural months, so the 2WW is harder than it's been the past few years.

    Little P turned 2 last Tuesday and this weekend we're having a little party for him and Mr. P's parents are coming to town. It will be a fun, but busy weekend.

    @mrswin: No problem, for now anyways. It keeps me organized in my responses and happy for everyone on here. I love your 3 highlights! Barcelona is where I want to go next (and should be planning for this year).

    @Mrs. Pinata: Happy birthday to Little P! Was your hand itchy while you were walking around Rome? Rome was my favorite when we went 2 years ago. We actually booked a lot of our tours in advance from here because we did not want to be stressed out trying to figure out where to go and navigating how to purchase over there.

    @FliegepilzHut: following from yesterday's thread, if you do decide to go to Italy in the future, if you like Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" book, the Angels and Demons walking tour is awesome!

    @mrs. bird: Oh my goodness, I hope your bleeding gets under control! That sounds intense! I'm glad you're feeling a little better though, sans balloon

    @Leialou: How exciting! Fx for a nice, thick lining!

    @PastaAndPotato: Hope your ultrasound went well today!

    @MrsTal: Good luck at your consult tomorrow!

    @Mrs. Pinata: Wow that's quite the bandage! I hope your TWW goes by quickly for you, with minimal pressure to POAS!

    This weekend DH is off Mon & Tues and we'll be going to Palm Springs. Cocktails and pool time for us! As for IF updates, we went and met with my RE yesterday morning. He immediately agreed to go ahead and run karyotyping on DH & I, and ordered some other panels for me as well. He should have some results for me in a week. I completely forgot to ask him about the lap but I guess there's no rush!

    @lazypanda: just getting round to it now
    I got my first ever BFP yesterday, rather dark lines on an FRER at 13dpo, so it looks like it was a low progesterone/implantation problem but we just can't believe it worked first try with medication. I'm really excited but sooo nervous. I know I haven't been here long but the support I've had from all of you is just wonderful. Rooting for each and everyone of you of course
    Worked out my EDD is the 30th Jan so .I get to squeeze in on the jan board too.

    @Mrs. Pinata: yesterday i just saw the nurse & had them draw labs (OUCH! the lady did a terrible job and i have this huge purple lump on the inside of my elbow now ). my BP is too low because my blood volume is pretty low right now, but the labs weren't super scary, so i'm just supposed to go back again today & see the dr & recheck them to see if i'm making any improvements. i know i'm supposed to be looking at your hand (yooooowza!), but man that plate looks yummy! also, you are lovely! hoping the rest of your TWW speeds by

    Memorial Day we both have to work- boo. So no real big plans for us- just still counting down the days until we fly to sunny florida!!!
    Updates: was going to schedule my HSG yesterday for June 18th- but yesterday turned into a terribly hectic day. I was getting ready for work when DH called and said he had been in a bad accident. He was 1.5 hrs north of where we live- so I raced on the interstate in panic mode. His car is totaled and he is banged up pretty good, but we are so lucky he was able to walk away from it. It really sucks when it was the fault of someone else and now all this hassle and pain of him falls on us. I haven't ever been in a "serious" wreck, but he said it was the scariest moment of his life and all went black when the airbags deployed.
    I am going to schedule my HSG sometime today between getting our rental and DH a new phone (his phone shattered in the car from hitting god knows what).
    Hope all is well with everyone !!! Make sure to give your honey an extra big hug and kiss today !!! Yesterday was a very scary day for us !!

    @lazypanda: Yup, we'll still be doing the IUI whenever I finally ovulate, late as it may be.

    @Mrs. Pinata: lol, we're the same way after a trip. We're usually night owls and can't get up early for the life of us. But after trips we try to keep a schedule like that for as long as possible, but it's never long before we revert to our ways and stay up late again. You're such a trooper for having a smile on you face with your hand all bandaged up!

    @Snowdrop: Congrats!!

    My follicles are still small, ugh. So my conclusion, though I'll ask when my doctor calls later is that the Letrozole just didn't really have any effect on me. At this rate, I'm pretty much inline with my regular long cycles.

    Thanks for all the kind words!

    I'm just leaving the RE. Everything looks good! The transfer is scheduled for Wednesday at 12:30. Today will be my last Lupron injection and I'll start endometrin. I better make sure I have plenty of panty liners.

    Question: do you always get your blood drawn from the same arm? I always stick out my right arm. I have this weird hang up about using my left. I noticed today I have a scar from all the sticks on my right arm.

    My RE nurse also told me I'm pretty inside and out. That was nice to hear.

    @Leialou: Congratulations!! I have great veins in my left arm, so I always ask for a left draw. I absolutely have track marks. I'm sorry about the diet, but let me know if you want any recipes... I had to do the low-carb thing for a while a few summers ago and collected some awesome recipes.

    @lazypanda: Yep, I'm 10 DPO. I am glad I am supposed to be "just hanging out" this month, because my mind is playing tricks on me... some days I feel really positive and hopeful and some days I feel like this is an "off" month so I should just chill out and drink my wine.
