There are already 2 pages of this check-in?! You ladies are fast today!! I need to catch up and reply to everyone, but! Beta #2 is in and just about doubling at 48hrs (66 on Mon, 124 on Wed). I'm cautiously optimistic! First ultrasound & OB appt is in 4 weeks! My RE said I can still call him with any concerns but that everything is looking good.

@Kelli_Deluxe: it did move fast today! I'm so happy to hear those strong, growing numbers!

@Mrs. Pinata: I'm glad your trip was amazing, minus the mishap! Yay for your IUI's! I hope your timing works! And just remember, clomid isn't necessarily a waste; some people take it with just TI and have success!
@alohaorchid: Yay for your Dr appt in June! And I hope you figure out what's best for you on the job front! Those types of decisions are always so overwhelming, but at least you have options!
@MrsTal: I'm sorry you had a rough day I hope tomorrow provides a nice little break from the madness. Treat yourself to a little something! Also, there are companies who provide ivf-specific loans, so that may be something to consider (but not tomorrow bc I order you to take a breather )
@Sunshine1810: How exciting!! Retrieval day will be here before you know it!!
@FliegepilzHut: Hooray for paperwork! I'm happy the ball is rolling for you!
@PurplePumps: Yay Femara! I'm glad DH has perfect timing
@Happygal: Camping sounds like the perfect distraction to the TWW! You'll have a great time!
@bhbee: Praying for your beta!!

@Happygal: Thanks...I think? Why can't there be some super-fast way to get through this? It's the waiting that makes me crazy!!!
@Kelli_Deluxe: That's great news! Your appointment will be here before you know it! (Remind me-- will DH deploy in July??)
apricot / 288 posts
@FliegepilzHut: He should be deploying next month.... Boooooo. But it's okay; I've got plenty to keep me busy including helping a friend jump start her business and moving into a bigger house in a couple months!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
just want to thank everyone for the good thoughts. I'm trying to be positive going into tomorrow, because worrying about it isn't going to change the outcome. I'm just glad to have this place to come to no matter what happens
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Kelli_Deluxe: remind me of what your husband does.....do you know where he'll be deployed to and for how long?
@bhbee: no pressure. We're here for you no matter what!

@bhbee: I second HappyGal
@Happygal: He's a Marine (his focus is data/networking). He'll be going to South America for 4-5mo. The only part that's nerve-wracking is we don't know exactly when he's leaving! So we're just kind of waiting--it's the story of our lives haha

@FliegepilzHut: Yay for finishing up all the paperwork. DH and I had to fill out all that paperwork before we saw our RE as well. Do you think you'll be testing early? Oh and thanks for helping out with the list!
@Sunshine1810: That's cool regarding the mock transfer! Practice makes perfect for the RE right?
@Mrs. Pinata: Tuscany sounds awesome! I'm glad you had a nice time and woohoo for coming back and being ready for the next step. My friend got pregnant on her first clomid cycle with TI. FX that whatever happens will get you your BFP.
@alohaorchid: With everything in life, do what's right for you. If you feel your biological clock ticking, then by all means go forward, if you find you might have time, then take a break and set a date or time frame for when you would revisit it.
@MrsTal: I'm sorry for the tough day. I hope something works out with one of the grants I saw mentioned in your other thread.
@PurplePumps: That's awesome timing! I hope Femara works for you! My RE likes Femara better, it just didn't do anything for me.
@Happygal: Yay for getting away and being preoccupied so you don't have to fret over the TWW!
@Faithfertility: I'll respond to your comment from the previous check in thread, woohoo for progress, I hope the worry is subsiding a little! Will you find out the sex of your little gummy bear in 10 weeks?
@bhbee: Sending GREAT double thoughts for your betas!
@Kelli_Deluxe: woohoo for beta #2! Have you thought about whether you'll be team green? :team green:
ETA: For me, I'm trying not to go crazy with the symptom spotting.
apricot / 288 posts
@lazypanda: We are tentatively Team Green! He'll be gone til after the anatomy scan and I don't want to find out without him. At that point, might as well just hold out, right?!
kiwi / 636 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: Darn, and here I thought I got you in my thread above. Like you, I am a total EDD checker! If I get my BFP next week, my EDD will be January 21! And according to the chinese gender predictor, I'd have a girl. I'm secretly hoping for boy/girl twins.
@Kelli_Deluxe: agreed! It'll be fun for you and your DH to find out when you give birth!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@Kelli_Deluxe: Phooey. But at least he should be back for the really important stuff! Good that you'll be keeping busy
.@bhbee: Positive thoughts coming your way!
@lazypanda: Totally going crazy...but it's just that. I probably won't test unless my temps stay up for 15+ days...or I guess if I have a crazy dream about a , then I'd test. Absolutely welcome, BTW. Was this IUI #1? (Ditto thinking a January b-day would be pretty cool!)
kiwi / 636 posts
@FliegepilzHut: This was IUI #1 for me. I keep doing progressive muscle relaxation exercises for myself, as well as trying got watch mindless tv, but every little twinge, pull, cramp, and yawn takes me to crazy symptom spotting spiral.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@lazypanda: Ohhhh my 10 weeks that is it?!?!?!?! Yes, I want to so a gender reveal with family, but we most def will find out!!!!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@lazypanda: I'm there with you, but sadly mine is probably a lot less rational... Of course, as they say, it's not over until it's over (or the fat lady sings). Hope springs eternal!

@Kelli_Deluxe: I know!!! I'm so happy about your doubling betas! That's great news!!
@lazypanda: Absolutely! FX for you! It's so hard not to symptom spot!!!

@fliegepilzhut: ohh I get it now! I imagine that they would ask a lot of questions right?
@happygal: Thank you That all makes complete sense… I think I’m also worried about being an older parent, but I’m not sure why! I definitely do not feel 30. Have a great weekend camping! I love taking our dogs on vacation with us.
@bhbee: Fx for your beta results and thanks for sharing that pic!
@kelli_deluxe: I’m so happy and excited for you, those numbers are great! And thank you
@lazypanda: thanks.. you’re right, I have to do what’s best for me. It just sucks that I’m not really sure what that is at this point!
I’m SO glad it’s Friday! This week has been exhausting! I feel a little stressed because according to FF, I didn’t ovulate this cycle. My opk’s were positive and I got the usual ovulation symptoms but my temps have been high pretty much the entire cycle. CD1 and CD6 were low but the rest were all high, like regular post-O high. My heart keeps sinking when I see “no ovulation detected”

@FliegepilzHut: Thank you! I actually took the grant paperwork in this morning and they are going to try really hard to get it done. I actually finished the essay and found that it was sort of cathartic to write down everything. I'm definitely going to try to take care of me today and relax as much as possible.
@CupQuakeWalk: We are going to still try to get the grant information in on time, it's going to be tight because it has to be in their hands by Wednesday, so we'd like to get it in the mail Monday to make sure it gets there in time. Thanks for the hugs.
@Sunshine1810: That's awesome about your friend getting the grants, makes me feel like we really have a shot! I hope that's the case. I have the same concerns about taking out a loan, like what if it doesn't work and I have to pay this loan for the next year and be reminded it didn't work, so I'm super hesitant to do that.
@Mrs. Pinata: We did tell our RE about our insurance stuff and he said that they most likely would donate some meds to help us out, which was really nice. Italy sounds amazing! But I'm so sorry about your hand, that part had to suck.
@alohaorchid: The money aspect usually sends me over the edge with IF stuff. Like we don't have it hard enough already, let's add a few thousand out of pocket expenses to make it a little more challenging. I hope you get a permanent position soon and your family drama resolves.
@Happygal: We are going for it. We are hoping to have it in the mail on Monday afternoon to be overnighted. The minimum they need from doctor is our IF history and treatment so far, but there is also an option of them adding a personal statement. Camping sounds like a blast! Hopefully it makes the TWW go fast. I want to take the dogs sometime but it seems a little overwhelming.
@FaithFertility: Thank you for the hugs and prayers! Hope you are doing well!
@Kelli_Deluxe: I am going to try to follow orders and take a breather today! Love seeing those numbers double!
@lazypanda: I'm crossing my fingers for a grant coming through. Also hoping this TWW goes by fast and your IUI worked this cycle!

@MrsTal: nothing like a deadline to motivate you to get things done! Good luck! We truthfully looked into boarding our dog, but they will be out of town. The lady who watches our dog love her and was encouraging about taking her with us. She's an energetic young German Shepherd, so this could be very interesting!
@alohaorchid: hmmm. Care to share you fertilityfriend link?

@alohaorchid Sorry that you're having a hard time. Can you think of anything that might be throwing your temps off?
@lazypanda Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Hi ladies! Just popping in to say I had an HSG yesterday and ouch I was not prepared! Relieved to know that both my tubes are clear, although they were a little iffy on the left tube at first. Also, they didn't see any polyp which I hope mean's I won't have to get a hysteroscopy done. TGIF!

@Happygal: thankfully they called me early. 185 I needed 140 so very good news. they called me in the car and I cried the whole way back, but for a good reason! they agreed to fit me in for an ultrasound before the move, probably around the 20th-21st (movers come the 22nd)
thank you again to everyone who has sent me good wishes!

@bhbee: hooray! Such good news! So happy for you!!!
By the way--I was just starting to worry that our camp site wouldn't have cell phone reception and I would be tortured with not knowing your update all weekend.

@bhbee: great news! Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here!

Quick update: tubes were all clear. Doctor was very pleased that the dye spilled quite quickly, especially on my right side. I'll share more details later on the hsg experience thread!
