Does a washer, dryer, and fridge count? That's what I would buy, or at least put the $1000 towards...

Can I save it for the next house lol? We're probably moving in 2 years and keeping this home as an investment (rental) home, so i don't really want to do any renovations to it!

I'd replace the carpet in our bedrooms... or spend the entire $1000 on the big girl room I'm planning for LO when she moves out of the nursery.

Windows. Well it might only pay for two I really have no idea how much it costs but assume that it will be as much as replacing the roof.

A couch, or flooring for the kitchen. Probably a couch.

Ooooh, there are too many options! I have no idea what I'd choose! Rugs, curtains, an armchair, a new front door, built ins, hardwood floors, crown moulding...don't get me started, haha.

New fridge, washer/dryer, boorrrring.
But definitely new fridge no matter what, then 2 bookcases, frames for gallery wall, some artwork, mirror for vanity area, upholstered glider, paint, curtains, coat hooks.
ETA: ooooh, a fancy-shmancy chandelier.

Tile for the front and back doors, new carpet for the living room, put a new doorway into our living room, and frame out our second bathroom. Anything left over would go into the savings account for our kitchen gut job.

Nothing. I would put the money into a savings account because we just found out we are pregnant... seriously. This is EXACTLY what we did when his parents came to visit us a few months ago and gave us a unbelievably generous $1,000 housewarming check. My justification is that it will go toward the nursery and baby proofing. That is part of the house right? lol

I'm debating redecorating my family room. So a new couch, picture frames and accessories.

I'd use it towards a new entertainment center. We have a cheapie IKEA TV bench right now and it's not cutting it. We want a big wall unit with storage.

We are putting a backsplash in our kitchen so, it would go to that.
