@Mrs. Twine: I was hoping you'd reply! Currently, E naps in the RnP (I know, I know), but I'm wanting to transition him to his crib. Which got me thinking that maybe I should just get rid of the crib all-together and put his crib mattress on the floor next to our bed?

But then, would we need to put our mattress on the floor, as well?

Maybe I should give a little background. So he used to sleep really well in his crib, next to our bed. He went from STTN to a couple of wake-ups around 4 months, but even then he'd nurse for 10 minutes and go right back to sleep. I'd move him back to his crib. But now, at 6 months, he's started waking up more frequently, wanting to nurse longer (I think he's teething), and not handling the transition back to his crib as well. Combine that with the fact that we need to get him to take naps somewhere besides the RnP (he's closing in on the weight limit), I'm not sure how much to do at once, or at all.

I'm not sure how well he handles change. I would say not really well. I can't get him to nap in his crib, but he'll usually sleep in there at night. I only nurse him to sleep at night, but he doesn't seem to be able to put himself to sleep at night (versus naps, I don't nurse, he puts himself to sleep in the RnP).

I'm writing a novel. I'm sorry! I'm just getting a little nervous about establishing good habits and I'm not really feeling very instinctual about what to do.
