Did it ever end? She and I have been sick at least once every single month since she started daycare in September. Are we ever going to go a full month without being sick? I'm so miserable.

Yep, every single month. I know exactly how you feel! The good news, it cleared up six months later at age one. But now we are in preschool at age two and it's starting up again. This year we took a flu shot so the colds this time around seem much less drastic.

We took DD out of daycare after about 7 months because I had another baby and became a SAHM, but I have noticed that as she approaches age 3 her immune system is better. If she and my son catch a cold, it will take him 10 to 12 days to get over the cold and she'll get over it in four or five days. But I have heard that after a year they get much better, but as they approach three their immune system gets very strong too!
Good luck, I really hated that about daycare...

DD was sick every month for about the first 9 months of daycare. She has a great immune system now, though. The whole family got really sick a month ago and she only got a low grade fever. It took the rest of us two weeks to recover!

LO hasn't been sick in 3 weeks and I haven't been sick in 2 weeks!

LO is 10 months and has only been sick once since December....and I haven't been sick at all in that time. I think it does eventually get better!

I think we went almost a year of her at daycare and we had a sick day every month (for her or I). This past January was the first month I didn't take any sick days!

Yes!! We were all sick like every other week. It was awful. But it did end, I can't remember exactly when. This winter it's been awesome. Very little to no sickness at all for any of us!!!

Thanks for asking this! My LO has been in daycare since September. Since then, I've had a sinus infection (that took 2 courses of antibiotics to get rid of), 2 nasty colds, the flu (cold, not stomach) and missed at least 5 days of work.
My LO? She's had a runny nose. Apparently I got her baby immune system and she's just a healthy horse. Which is not what people tend to expect from a formula-fed baby . . .

My LO's been sick 2-3 times since starting daycare in November. I remember my brother being really sick when his twins were first in daycare. After some time, the family sickness phase passed and their immunity is pretty good.

Any other teacher/educator bees here? When your kids start day care, do you also get sick all the time?
I ask because I feel like I'm *already* exposed to nasty kid germs allll day long, every day, so I've built up a bit of a tolerance (I know my LO won't have the same tolerance).
Will I still probably go through this?

Both DS and I have a constant runny nose. I tell people I have a daycare cold.

She went one month without getting sick..... and then the green snot came back. But, I'm hopeful that the change in weather will help lower the amount of colds floating around.

We are sick all the time, me and DS. But Dd has been in day care/ full time pre school for 4 years and she barely sniffles while me and DS are down down for the count. It's rough for the first 2 years but afterwards you reap the benefits.

Ds started Kindergarten this year and has brought home quite a few germs. Seems like we've all been sick since October. I've been so annoyed by it, cause usually I have a rock hard immune system, but I guess being pregnant ruined that. I've caught every little thing that he has. He's had 3 ear infections, just due to all the fluid he's had swirling around his head!
I hope it's over, soon...we're just now starting to feel normal again.

It took 6 days in daycare for DS to come down with his first cold. I'm starting to feel it too!
