OMG. So I uploaded a picture of carrying DS on my back in my beco gemini onto Instagram and some stranger commented that unless I had an ergo I'm not carrying my baby properly, "not that contraption."
OMG. It made me so mad - I don't even know this person but they felt the need to comment on my picture?!
FWIW I did research baby carriers extensively and I know that the Beco is a great carrier and equal to the Ergo!

Ugh people can suck it. Do you see any adults walking around with any debilitating physical issues because the carrier they were in as a baby wasn't the "right one"? NO.

The beco is very similar to the ergo so I dont get her point..? Besides its none of her business. Some people are so rude
But I do agree that some carriers arent the best for the baby, aside from our ergo we were gifted a baby bjorn, and I dont think they are the best for the baby because of the way the baby hangs in it, but my baby loves it so I use it for now until she grows into the ergo

@Coco Bee: Yup. People just have to request to follow your pictures. Your current followers will still be able to see your pictures. You can go through those and block people if you don't know who they are (like if this fool is following you).
I figured since 90% of my photos are of my lo, I would keep mine private.

how creepy! I never had strangers comment on my pictures before. I recently went private because a girl I know (and do not get along with) was using instagram to creep on me. weirddd! I set mine to private, but follow a ton of hellobee'rs, so if you see me (aego**) that's just me!

I agree that it is rude to comment on a stranger's photo (especially if a negative comment). I am on a babywearing forum and it is shocking the comments (um, they often refer to them as suggestions) that people both make and receive about babywearing. I wonder if the person in question thought that you were using a Baby Bjorn? Although I know they are not the best carrier I have never commented on someone else's choice in using one, just not my place to do so.

@Coco Bee: This bugs me, too. I mean, OK, so maybe my baby bjorn make cause hip displaysia when I have to loosen the bottom strap, but would you rather me leave the baby in the carseat or carry him?
Seriously, I go to the doctor and they check his joints every time. If something starts going wrong, I will change things, but really, people have been carrying babies in all kinds of contraptions since time immemorial.That sucks. I'm sorry a stranger commented on your photo!

I mean I'm not a fan of bjorns either, but you are doing right by just making sure he's getting checked out consistently and I would never fault another mom for carrying her baby! You're totally right - carrying your baby - no matter what in - is so much better than leaving them in the carseat. I know my son can only take so much of the carseat before he just needs the comfort and love of being held!
