What would you do and how would you do it? My supply has way dropped and I'm off for two weeks so I hope I can build it back up.

I go through periods where my supply drops. I nurse as much as I can and avoid my freezer stash because that signals my body to make less if LO misses a feeding. I pumped after she ate, drank lots of water, took fenugreek and mother's milk plus. In a day or two I was back to normal.

I would whip up a few batches of lactation cookies, and get a box of milkmaid tea. I would eat a cookie after every nursing/pumping session, drink the tea 3x per day, and pump after every nursing session for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Nurse as much as absolutely possible. Take at least 1 or 2 days and relax and nurse and focus on only that. Then after that, you do household stuff and everything else that needs to be done. Even just a weekend would help us, so 2 weeks with no bottles would be great.

Blessed Thistle and Fenugreek supplements, rest and tons of water and pumping between nursing sessions.

Nurse like crazy having as much skin to skin as possible (know this is less if bebe is active), up my water intake & add a cup of mmt along with a bowl of oatmeal daily, & like a pp avoid supplementing.
I know it's unlikely I would pump between feedings unless I absolutely had to as I despise pumping! Lol

I would take supplements (I take Gaia's lactation supplement which is basically just fenugreek & thistle seed concentrate)..
and i'd drink TONS of water
I'd pump like a mad women after feedings
and i'd rest up more because I heard that helps.
I'd also try to do skin to skin as much as possible and get my mind in "the zone" of breastfeeding, so my hormones would make me make more milk.

I agree with a lot of suggestions! A few others to add:
1. Take care of yourself. Don't stress about this, just take time to relax, spend time with baby (skin to skin is great). Eat lots of protein and drink lots of water.
2. Nurse as much as possible. If LO is full, taking a long nap, or whatever try to pump. I don't know what your night schedule is like, but you can think about co-sleeping (this always upped my supply) or waking to pump at night.

Is it weird I'm kind of excited?! I love nursing and have been sad my supply has dropped. I'm lazy about taking fenugreek because I hate the way it makes me smell, but praying these tips will help. I've only been able to pump about 5 oz total on a day and been supplementing with formula. I have no prob with formula, just so much more convenient to breast feed! @mrsbee I can't find more milk plus. It is a vitamin, right? @rachiecakes my ob said he could prescribe me something but it had a bad side effect...sleepiness! Definitely the last thing I need! I wonder if that's what it was he was talking about.

@matador84: I agree w/ More Milk Plus. That stuff gave me a crazy supply. BUT you have to follow the instructions almost religiously and make sure you're eating enough and drinking enough water. I went from barely getting 3 oz total each session to getting 6-8 each session. Good luck! Oh, and I got it from amazon.
