I made a mixed tape so it was a bit of everything - all I can remember of it was hearing Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise during transition
I do remember not wanting it on all the time though...sometimes I just needed to fully focus on the task at hand!

I had an entire playlist filled with songs that had a lot of meaning to me- everything from country to classic rock. It was one of the best things I did- I would focus on the words during contractions. It's also nice that when I hear those songs now, they bring me back to the best day of my life. I also had on Eminen's Lose Yourself and it really got me through some intense contractions- but also some strange looks from the nurse, ha ha.

I listened to EDM (electronic dance music)! My mom thought I was crazy since it isn't really relaxing music!

I blasted bounce music in the car on the way to the hospital. Big Freedia. Totally got me pumped up.

I made a playlist of songs that relax me, with a few thrown in that make me feel happy and uplifted. It's a great playlist and I still listen to it a lot.

I wanted songs that I could sing along to and keep my mind off of things. We also popped in a movie that we had already seen so I didn't really have to pay attention but had something to turn my attention to between contractions.

Pretty much Top 40 stuff.
This time, my playlist is a little more relaxed (lots of chill folksy stuff), but I threw in a few Top 40 pop songs that will really get me moving.

I made two playlists - an upbeat one and a relaxed one. Didn't listen to either of them!

I made playlists and never listened to them! I did listen to my Hypnobabies cd tracks during early and active labor and until I got to the hospital at 7 cm.

I watched the Bachelorette during early labor...my husband proclaimed to be in more pain than me as a result, lol! I didn't listen to music with my second. With my first, I listened to my favorite Pandora stations (Avett Brothers, etc.). At one point, when I was feeling really exhausted/discouraged, I found listening to Christian music helpful - even though that's not something I usually do.

I listened to a podcast (Slumber Party with Alie & Georgia). I texted my family and bestie too.

We watched Family Guy and Archer (the wee baby Seamus episodes, actually!) in early labor, then switched to hgtv and it was property brothers marathon all day. when I was at a 10 and it was time to labor down for an hour, I turned it off... I didn't want it to be on when I was pushing, like Phoebe and the Happy Days incident on Friends!

DH brought up my favorite Simpsons episode (Clown College) but my labor was fast and furious so I didn't get to enjoy it. He even paused it for contractions which were 2 min apart at that point.
I told my friend in the room weeks before that she should play "Push It (push it real good)" when I was complete. We both forgot though!
