Interestingly, the program we chose had morning and afternoon options last year for the 4s but this year, they have switched to a full day schedule (full day is 8:45 to 1, half day was 9-11:45 or 12:15-3 pm). They still have the option to go 5/3/2 days per week, though, which I feel is the next to "go."

I wouldn't pull them out, especially your 4 year old.

At 3 he goes 2 days for 2 1/2 hours and next year he will do 3 days. That seems to be pretty typical for preschools in this area. It's mainly preschools with a morning schedule or full time day care centers.

My 4.5 year old attends 5 days a week. M-TH from 8:45 am until 2 pm. Fridays are half days from 8:45 am until 12 pm. This is the first year the school has offered this program for his age group. Last year he attended 4 days a week from 1:00 pm - 3:15 pm.
