What are you taking it for? I don't think aspirin regimens are recommended without the guidance of a doctor. It can be detrimental if you don't need it.

Oh I didn't know that! I have been having clotty thick periods so I thought it might help. Perhaps I will wait though and see.

@Mrs.Someone: do you think I hurt myself by taking one earlier? I got a negative OPK today. Now I am worried. How stupid of me.

@MrsMccarthy: One won't hurt, it'd just be like taking one once for a headache! I'd just talk to your doctor before doing a regimen.

@MrsMccarthy: not at all! One is less than taking it for a headache. I'd just be concered about taking it daily for a extended period.

I took it because my ob recommend it. There are studies that show it helps for those that had late term losses.

@Mrs.Someone: thanks! I'll check with my doctor about it. That's what I get for being a Web MD

@IRunForFun: thank you! And thanks for chiming in.
@singingbee: yeah that's what I read but apparently it can also cause problems so I'm gonna call my doc about it.

@MrsMccarthy: I think that's a great idea. I stopped as soon as I had her.

@MrsMccarthy: I've been taking it for a little over a month now. I just started wherever I was at in my cycle. My sister went through fertility treatments and her RE had her taking it every day. I think its supposed to help fluff up your lining and help implantation. This is my first full cycle taking baby aspirin. I'm in the TWW!

@MrsMccarthy: I'm not sure, but is baby aspirin safe while breastfeeding?

Aspirin isn't breast feeding compatible. I'd be careful taking it until T is fully weaned. Good luck! Can't wait to see you're next adorable baby!

@MrsMccarthy: I wouldn't self medicate without talking to your OB.

It can help women with Endometriosis or reoccurring pregnancy loss with implantation (and pain in the case of Endometriosis, that's what I take it for), but it can also have the opposite effect and decrease chances for normal women. In normal women it can thin the lining too much, while in women with the issues mentioned above it can cut down on inflammation that can hinder implantation for them. I wouldn't take it without checking with a doctor.
