@T.H.O.U.: no I was able to fall asleep around 2 am and slept for about 3 hours when they started back up around 5. It's 7 now and still the intensity and timing are the same as last night. DH stayed home from work to help with LO and we'll try and have a nice family day before my induction tonight. We'll see if I make it.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Well if nothing else at least you know things are getting started for tonight!
When you go in for Cervidil, you'll have to lay for a bit to be monitored. If you want to try to sleep, they may be able to give you something. You didn't get a lot of sleep last night so maybe you can get some rest tonight.

@T.H.O.U.: great. Thank you for the advice! Last time they gave me pitocin so Cervadil is new to me.

@Mrs. Sunshine: I think I had to have constant monitoring for the first 2-3 hours and then just for like 10 solid minutes every hour. So kinda a pain but I did get some breaks where I could actually roll over and get some rest.
I was also allowed to eat breakfast in the morning! So ask if you can order off the menu!

Thanks so much, everyone! We are on cloud 9 and it feels SO AMAZING to not be pregnant anymore and to get to hold this tiny but huge blessing in my arms!
I am not sure if the castor oil was the deciding factor in sending me into labor, or the pumping I did when I noticed mild contractions (I did 30 mins 2x with a 30 min break in between) or the membrane sweep since I'd already had a bit of bloody show yesterday morning...Probably a combination of all of these things! But man do I feel lucky that something pushed me into active labor and it was such an easy and crazy quick delivery!
