At what age do you plan to stop monitoring? Or at what age did you take the camera out of the room? DS is 2 so we have no plans yet but I was just curious.

LOL DS is almost 3 and we have 2 monitors in his room still! We don't plan to stop anytime soon because when #2 comes we will stick him in the same room so maybe when the youngest is like 4-5? Not sure. I think this type of thing is played by ear. Also depends how far their room is from yours?

I stopped at age 4 with DS because it broke
DD will be 4 in March and I am still using it right now - she wont always come out when she needs something and I cant hear her w/o the monitor

erm...when they're old enough to holler for us down the hall i guess. It's not like they're on another floor. Maybe 4? I'm not sure what 4 year olds are like but they seem like they're old enough to not need a video monitor.

LO is 15 months and really all we use the video monitor for now is to check the temperature in her room. Our house is not huge so we can hear her wherever if she is awake.

almost 2 and still going strong. i like to check in and make sure he's still breathing (watching his body rise and fall), and he still has random wakeups and i look at it to see if he's hurt himself or he's just making my life hard.

Hm, I'm not sure! Probably not until she is old enough to safely leave her room and come to our room (which means a trip down a long hall and half a flight of stairs) if she needs me. Although I guess it's possible we'll downgrade to just using an audio monitor at some point.
