Ask a nurse for some disposable panties and a pad!
Or.... I've had mama's loop a towel between their legs and just hang on to it, but I don't think that's the best option because you need your hands to balance yourself.

I didn't take long walks, but the nurse put a chux on the birthing ball for me. Moving around my room I just didn't worry about it.

My waters were intact until I pushed but for the most part I wore a pad & panties.

are you talking about the stuff going through contractions? yikes - forgot about that.... I labored at home for 9 hours and kept feeling stuff semi-gushing out, so I kept going to the bathroom like all the time.... my water never broke though, they broke it in the hospital. I was also in the shower laboring at home for a while... then i was in the hospital/epidural & the nurses took over & there was a waterproof pad thing below me.
lovely!

Wasn't a problem. My water was broken late in my labor for an amniotic fluid reinfusion, so it was intact for most of it. Certainly for all the part that I was up walking around.

My water broke at home so I wore a thick pad and changed it often. When I went to the hospital, they gave me those mesh panties and a gigantic pad to wear. I don't remember much about that part though as I was concentrating on the contractions.
