Idk. I was 8lb2oz and DH was 6lbs something oz and dd was 7lb2oz.

My hubs was a 6 pound twin and I was 7 and change but my son was 8.5

I know a lot of people who vaginally birthed babies up to 10 pounds and had no problem. A big old head or shoulders or a small pelvis is more of a concern than baby's weight.

Yes. I was 9lbs 14oz, LO was 10lbs 8oz.

DH and I were both around the higher end of 8lbs. I'm the oldest and he's the youngest. LO was 8lbs 8oz

I was under 6 1/2 lbs, but 4 weeks early. DH was low 7's I believe. DS was 7lb 12oz. if I was born on time, we probably would have all been about the same

@MrsTiz: Not necessarily. I was a big baby, DH was a "regular" sized one at like 7lbs. C was larger than either of us.

I was a small baby and had big babies.

I was 6lbs and some change at 6 weeks early.

DS was 6 lb 8 oz at 32 weeks.

S was 9 lbs 15 oz at 39 weeks.

My OB said an average of the parents weights is a good guess. I was 9lbs 9oz, DH was 9 lbs 3 oz, lo was 10lbs 1oz. I was induced and gave birth on her due date. I can only imagine how big she would have gotten if I didn't need the induction.

My mom just told me and I forget already! I was around 8 lbs though and I know her smallest baby was 6 lb 9 oz (I'm one of 5). My midwife asked if I was a big baby when we were talking about this baby's size. Not born yet so we'll see. Based on where I'm getting kicked all the time I've decided it's a long/tall baby at the very least!

I was average at 7 lb 2 oz but DH was big at 8 lb 13 oz. (and my MIL wasnt even 40 weeks yet). LO was right in between at 8 lb 5 oz.

I was 7.11 and my LO was 6.14 . . . I am pretty sure DH weighed right around 7.11 too . . .

And I totally think you should have named this thread "Do Big Babies Have Big Babies!"

I was almost 9 pounds and my husband was over 11. Our son was 7.5.

I was little-ish in the 6 lb range, DH was bigger but only in the 8 lb range. DD was 9lbs 6oz and DS was 7lbs 13oz (and three weeks early). So, we make big babies....

I was 5 lbs and my babies weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz and 7 lbs, 14 ozs.

I was 8 lbs 1 oz, DH was 5 lbs 2 oz and DD was 8 lbs 10 oz. However my sister and her husband were both premies (4 lbs 4 oz, and 4 lbs 5 oz) and their daughters were 8 lbs 9 oz, and 9 lbs 2 oz...their doctor said parent's birth size does not affect size of baby.

However, I will say that my sisters and I have yet to have a baby under 8 lbs, so maybe if you have a sister judge on that? Ours have all be big, I'm excited to see what our newest nephew (this week!) will weigh since he's the first boy!
