And when? I am only 11 weeks PP and starting to spot--I am really hoping this isn't my period! I am EBFing. Can getting your period while BFing? Does it affect your supply?
Did you get your period while BFing, and if so, when?

At 7 months pp with DD. I don't think it affected my supply.
I know people who have gotten it back right away while EBF.
I spotted around the same time as you, but no AF and still no AF at almost 8 months pp.

I got mine when she was right around a year old, after she started STTN and stopped nursing at night. She previously coslept and nursed literally all night long. My supply does drop a little bit before my period, and she just nurses more on those days.

YOu can get it while BFing, especially if you have 5 or fewer nursing sessions per day or with introduction of solid foods.
I'm lucky/unlucky in that we introduced food at 4 months but still nurse on demand and still not period at nearly 15 months...

I got mine when LO was 9 months. We are still BFing and when I get my period my supply does dip but only while I have it, it goes right back up after it's over.

@chopsuey: Hmmm hoping this is just spotting. I was hoping one of the wonderful "side effects" of BFing would be no period! I have no supplies on hand!

I did around 3-4 months pp. LO still is not STTN, so that wasn't it. Didn't start solids until 5.5 months. I guess I just got unlucky. It didn't affect my supply though.

I haven't gotten mine yet, LO is 4 months. My sister got her period 4 weeks pp and she was ebf'ing!!! Madness.

@pastemoo: We always have at least 6, but on those days I am usually pumping too. So weird.

Mine returned 17 mo pp!
ETA: DS self weane at 21 months. Up until that day he was still nursing full time, 4-5x/day, 2++ at night.

LO is 7 weeks old and I'm breastfeeding. I just started the minipill on Sunday and got my period today

@maybebaby: Apparently I'm the AF outcast. I am 8.5 months PP and have yet to see a spot of anything even though LO has been STTN for a month now.... We are ready to ttc #2 but now we have to wait on AF...that mean old Ho!
I am jealous of your spotting!

@PrincessBaby: We are also waiting on AF to talk more seriosly about TTC.

I don't think I have. I have had some spotting but I have an IUD, so my spotting night have been my period. Waiting to see if it shows up in 28 days again.

My LO is 3.5 months old and I also had some spotting about a week ago. I just tried nursing her more often/comfort nursing and the spotting stopped. She does usually sleep through most of the night though.

I'm 12.5 months pp, still breastfeeding, still no period. I can count on one hand the number of times C has slept through the night, so that may have something to do with it.

I couldnt vote because I got it at 5 months. However, bf'ing pretty much had gone to crap at that time.

Yes at 4-5 months with both kids and while EBF, both had been STTN for awhile already so I was (unpleasantly) surprised both times.

Not yet at 10 months. LO is EBF (~4x a day) and STTN. I'm sure I'm in the minority and actually want my period to come back. I want to start using my CBEFM for #2!
