I'm curious too. I think to be safe in the beginning I plan to eliminate major dairy and soy then when she's a little older bring it back in.

I'm curious too. With my next pregnancy I plan to eliminate all the things my daughter was intolerant to (dairy soy wheat fish eggs and nuts) around 35 weeks pregnant. Then get a good baseline for LO2. Then sometime around 6 weeks of age I'll add things one at a time to see if he/she reacts.

Curious too, I'll find out here soon enough!
@MamaMoose: that is my exact plan too! Have it in my calendar that by the end of September I need to eliminate dairy and soy so that when she's born she has a clean baseline, then I'll reintroduce them into my diet and see how it goes.

@MamaMoose: @Mrs. Deer: oh, that's a really good idea. I'm 36 weeks today. Darn, it's summer, I'm hugely pregnant. No more ice cream? *sob*

@locavore_mama: I know! Ice cream and cheese...it's been so nice to eat those again!

This is interesting. My first was allergic to eggs, second had mspi but eggs were fine. I have some theory that it might have to do with what I was eating during pregnancy but we will have to see if I do anything about it for a future LO.

Following because I'm worried about this happening with LO#2. I really, really do not want to give up dairy - but I'd also like to be able to BF for as long as I want the second time around. My pedi did say that if you have one baby with MSPI or similar allergies/intolerances, your chances of having another with similar issues are at least 50% higher. It also seems to run in both of our families. Womp womp!

@MamaMoose: That's interesting! I'll probably do something like that when I am pregnant with my 2nd.
My friend's first didn't have mspi, but her second is sensitive to gluten and dairy.
