Yogurt. Always the yogurt. It is the only guaranteed winner and he can feed himself with the spoon now.

Yogurt with mashed avocado and banana. If all else fails, multigrain Cheerios. He apparently has quite the addiction to those things.

I also don't offer an alternative. I already make a separate meal for her with things that she likes to eat, so I figure if she doesn't eat, she's not hungry. She has skipped dinner a lot and has never woken up in the middle of the night hungry.

Nothing.

I'm mean. LOL

@Smurfette: Okay, yeah, I do give him milk. So I guess not really nothing.

My LO can't have dairy, so when she's sick or teething and refuses real foods, our fallbacks are always frozen blueberries, this one particular blueberry-quinoa-oatmeal pouch, or this particular chicken and rice purée. She'll refuse everything else in the world, but still eat those.

And when she's reallllly sick and refusing liquids too, we break out a bottle before nap time. She'll refuse water and hemp milk from her straw cup but take it from a bottle.

Fruit, cheese, cottage cheese are always winners.

It depends on how little he's eaten throughout the rest of the day. Scrambled eggs is a popular fall back! I sometimes just leave his plate out and he'll come back and finish more an hour or so later.

Bread with peanut butter and sometimes also Nutella, depending on how desperate I am to get him to eat something. And drinkable yogurt.
And always milk right before bed. We are still dealing with motn wake-ups at 18 months and I just feel like I have to make sure he's eaten something before he goes to bed to rule out a hunger wake-up!

Yogurt or crackers. DS eats really well at day care so I'm not worried about giving him a balanced meal, and he's come home more than a few times totally not hungry!

Glass of milk

A cheese stick, fruit, and milk.

Peanut butter sandwich.

Nothing to eat just milk.

It depends, I have relaxed the rules a lot because we've had a bout of sickness and there was no eating for a week, so now that he is expressing that he is hungry, I am letting him eat what he is asking for.

Cheerios with milk, oatmeal with a banana, yogurt and cereal bar, peanut butter with crackers are always on rotation.

@Mrs. Tiger: Do you ever worry about how long something's been left out? I sometimes like to leave my LO's plate out too, but DH kicks up a fuss and has to have everything put away in the fridge...

Yoghurt, it's all about the yoghurt. If he won't eat yoghurt then he is just not hungry!

Last night I served a chilled tropical fruit and shrimp salad with onion, cilantro, and lime. I didn't really expect her to eat it (and she didn't).

oatmeal

if the meat I make is too hard to eat (roast/porkchops she struggles with) then I will offer her sliced turkey. She will always eat this and cheese.
