If you have an iPad for your LO what apps do you have? Also, how do you protect it from your LO? My LO is not gentle with toys. Gentle hands is a work in process. We have a long trip coming up and if I could find a distraction that would be great.

We don't have much protection for it, but LO is pretty gentle. I like Endless Alphabet, FIsher Price apps, and a random free app called "Shapes"

My 14 motnh old LOVES the fisher price apps, we use them on my iphone when we are shopping if she's getting a little impatient. Just hte first little sound makes her smile. We also have a Wheels on the Bus app that she loves on the iPad that's fun. She barely uses it since I limit screen time, but those are the ones she plays with when we do.

DS (2 next week!) loves the puzzle apps and the ones where you trace letters and numbers. There's a bowling game he likes, and glow hockey.
And Angry Birds...

@LuLu Mom: same! that first, "doo doo doo.." jingle gets her vibrating with excitement. LOL.
her fave is the fisher price monkey one..the abc song keeps her entertained forever. she belly laughs at some of the animations, then dances to the abc song at the end.
ETA: we do not own a tablet - she uses my phone!

My LO is 25 months and we just started iPad time at 24 months. She got a gift certificate for ABC Mouse for her birthday and she loves it. It has a million different things you can do on it...and it is supposed to change the curriculum with your child as they complete lessons and get older.
She also enjoys doing flash cards for letters, shapes, numbers, colors, etc

We have a Griffin Survivor case: http://griffintechnology.com/survivor/original
The package claimed it’s the toughest out there and used by the military; and I figured if it protects ipads from crazy military stuff then it should be able to handle my toddler!!
For apps, LO’s favorites are:
The Monster at the End of the Book – Sesame Street, has activities on each page for LO
Talking Ginger Kitty (cat that repeats what the child says to them, encourages language)
PianoBall (music and sounds)
Elmo Loves ABCs – Elmo teaches ABC and you get access to tons of Sesame Street clips and other stuff
She also loves the music/sounds to Angry Birds, although she can’t play it yet herself.
