Not gonna lie - hell to the yes! I will miss nursing for sure, but sleep is just too precious. She's 8 months now but I'd wean her younger if it meant she'd instantly sleep better. Gotta be selfish sometimes!

Totally! LO's 14 months old now! My boobs are so sore from being pregnant. Keels me each time she latches on.

In any other instance we would have weaned at 1 year. But because of mspi and his low weight we can't do that (without extreme costs). So, no sleep for another year probably.

Definitely not because Cobi is only 3.5 mos!!! And we could never afford it anyhow, formula (and we'd probablywant organic) is sooo expensive!

Nope, my LO will most likely be my one & only and I can't say I'd want to give up this experience at the moment (he's 6 months).

I'd want to go for at least a year and deal with the sleep issue in other ways. I'm determined to ensure my child has the best mouth development possible. I grew up getting a ton of dental work and am convinced my poor latch as a baby has something to do with my crooked jaw!

Yeah, for sure! But seriously, just as I started weaning her slightly, she started sleeping through the night!

It depends on how terrible of a sleeper the baby was. But if it was really bad and I was exhausted all the time, yes I would do it after 6 months.

@chopsuey119: how much longer are you planning to nurse? Ouch!
@Rubies: yay for sleeping all night long!

LO actually did start sleeping though the night when I was close to weaning. My milk had already diminished quite a bit by then so she wasn't getting very much when he nursed in the middle of the night. She just started sleeping through the night on her own which made my supply plummet even more. I just decided to stop nursing at that point.

@artbee: not sure! For as long as she wants I suppose. My supply's dropping so I'm guessing a few more months before I dry up.
