I had an exterminator out today because we've been hearing a scratching noise in the ceiling above our dining room -- he confirmed it was mice!!!! SO GROSS.

He put out baits (pet-safe, kid-safe) and after some initial scurrying toward them, I haven't heard anything in hours. He told me they usually die within 30-40 minutes of eating from the baits.

While I'm relieved they're most likely all dead now (he thinks we only had 3-5 at most), I still feel a little bad about killing them.

Now I'm going to continue to be super grossed out until they come for the follow-up to remove the baits and any "remains"....

Ick. I did however get him to also spray around the house to keep the stinkbugs away at no extra cost! I somehow feel zero guilt over killing those nasty things.
