We visited a daycare yesterday and LOVED it. J played for an hour there and he had a blast. The teachers were so great and answered most of my questions. I plan to follow up with the director soon to discuss a few more things. Another thing I love about this place is that it's next door to our apartment - the convenience would help so much.
My one concern is that they don't allow any outside, homemade food (understandably , so my child would be fed daycare food. I'm ok with some of it (they serve a vegetable or fruit with every meal), but many of the foods are not things I typically feed my toddler. It IS only one meal a day, so there's that. But I guess I'm concerned if he gets the food at daycare, he will want it at home...
Here is a sample meal plan - what do you think? would this be a deal-breaker for you? I feel torn..
I do agree they're not ideal foods... they said they have a kitchen and a few kitchen workers who prepare the meals... but I am not sure about whether they come frozen, made on site, etc.
I kid. DH says he is allergic to hot dogs and as I said we are vegetarian. At least it is one meal a day only, but I think that would funk up lo's system even if we weren't veg because she basically eats leaves and salmon.
