Mm sorry, our only tub is in our attached bathroom and we have no issues with it! It's not like LO is ever bathing when one of us asleep

We've never bathed LO in the spare bathroom, always in our tub.

E is 18 months old and we've managed just fine with one, non en-suite shared bathtub. I can see where it might be nice in the future, when the kids are older, but it's not something I would spend the money on now, when money is tight, it'd be something I might put a little bit aside for every month and reno in the future. My niece is 13 years old and I swear she could easily spend two hours reading in the tub!

We have 3 bathrooms with Tubs, but we always bath him in ours because its nicer and bigger

If money is tight, then no, a separate bath tub isn't necessary. We've done fine with just having 1 in the house and X is almost 2.5. BUT, now that we're at the point that he has a collection of bath toys, I do sometimes imagine what it's like to take a shower where you don't have to remove all the Thomas the Tanks and rubber duckies and boats out of the way first. And, I can't say it helps with romance much either, if you should happen to be the feeling frisky in the tub/shower type. Obviously, neither of these things are major concerns, but if I had a choice, we'd totally have a separate kids tub.

We only have one bathroom/tub but my friends with 3 boys always have their kids bathe in their bathroom even though the boys have a tub too!

@Mirage: if you have the money and the bathroom has the space -- renovate. I think tubs look better to future homebuyers.

We bathe our LO in the other bathroom (not our master bathroom) because it's closer to her bedroom and so we can leave her baby tub in there all the time.

I don't think I would renovate especially if money was tight.
