Ahh, hopefully you'll have a Valentine's baby before the end of the day! Good luck!

My stomachache is almost completely gone which is an amazing relief. The stabbing pain close to my right hip is still excruciating though. I can't move without it bringing me to tears. Contractions are actually not as painful without the stomach ache, but at times they make the stabbing pain unbearable.
Idk what is going on. No one can decide if I'm in true labor or not. Contractions are pretty regular in time but not intensity. Just waiting. I hope they decide to go ahead and give me my baby one way or another.

@JoJoGirl: Idk. They're checking blood work and urine for kidney stones and gallbladder issues. I'm wondering about my appendix as well. It doesn't feel like its my hip, it's a little bit above in my belly. It hurts to touch it.

Hoping everything is ok and you get some answers and relief soon. Sending positive thoughts your way!

@Danizaur: I don't understand how they can't figure out if you're in labor or not. When I went to the hospital they hooked me up to a machine that monitors contractions!
Hope this is labor for you!

Hope they figure everything out and hope this is labor for you.

@locavore_mama: I'm hooked up and my contractions are coming regularly but the intensity varies. I also can't describe my pain very well because the hip pain completely takes over. I wasn't dilated when they checked me when I got here. Maybe they'll check again soon and get a better idea.

@Danizaur: (((hugs))) I hope this is just your body's cruel way of putting you through labor!!!

@Danizaur: Are they going to ultrasound your appendix and kidneys? If your white blood cell count is elevated, I would be worried about your appendix.

@Espion: I don't know yet. I'm sure they're gonna test it. Just watching jerry springer and waiting on results. I'm not crying through my contractions anymore so that's good. Lol.

@Arden: Me too!!! Contractions are still getting closer together and now seem to be getting longer. I really can't tell for sure. I hope it's not another false alarm...or they at least let me stay until I have him.
@MrsMcD: 39 weeks today! So plenty far along to deliver.
Also still no news. Still having some pain but it's easing up some.

@Danizaur: Oh my gosh! You are good to go! Please keep us updated!

@MrsMcD: seems to be set! I just can't tell if they are getting more intense. As soon as they start that stabbing pain takes over and I can't feel anything else but that intense pain. Monitor shows they kind of vary in intensity but stay somewhat similar.

Hugs, I hope that they figure out the non contraction pain. Have they done a cervical check or a quick ultrasound of LO? I wonder if LO is situated funny inside and causing weird pain. I know someone whose baby was situated at a weird angle in utero which made labor a bit difficult and required some PT in his early months.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@cascademom: nope not yet. They did a check when I came in but wasn't dilated. I haven't had one since then. ITs been about 4 hours. LO has been moving and the pain stays constant. I feel him move and make it worse at some points but he moves away and it doesn't get any better.
Labs all came back good. So that rules out appendix or gallbladder. No kidney stones either. They are talking like it may be a strained ligament or something...but I doubt it. It's way too intense, plus accompanied by that god awful stomach pain that had me in tears when I came in...something can't be right.
They are going to see what the doctor wants to do.

Thinking of you! And this is REALLY weird, but I was due in February of last year, so I've been following along, and I had a dream two nights again that your baby was born! (And yeah, that's really weird to type since I don't even know you!)

@Danizaur: I wouldn't be surprised if all of the pain goes away with his arrival. At least it's not appendix or gallbladder! I'm really surprised they haven't checked you though. I wonder if they aren't since you weren't dilated at admission. I would hope they would do it soon. Good luck! I'm going to be stalking HB all day and night.

Oh I hope you get to meet you sweet baby today! I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I hope you get some relief soon!

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain! I'm glad to know that baby is 39 weeks and ready to be delivered no matter what is going on with you.
I also had sudden terrible (upper) abdominal pain right before I delivered M. I was in so much pain and so scared that I couldn't even focus on the contractions. I eventually let them give me some narcotics when they started my induction and got an epidural eventually. Such a relief! Have they offered you any pain meds?
Thinking of you and baby!
