@sotofamilia: Lol well I hope that comes true!!

@cascademom: She came back in and said they can't rule out gallbladder until we get a scan. Whether or not I'll get one, They didn't say. Hopefully they will check me soon.

    @Danizaur: you got this, mama!
I had similar stabbing pain in one hip and it was because DS was in a weird position during contractions (posterior and brow out). Felt like nerve/sciatica pain times a billion and just above my hipbone.

Sending you love and happy birth vibes!

I wish they would feed me or let me have some water.

I understand why they can't but that really doesn't make me feel any better right now. Lol

Getting up to pee made me cry. The pain in my side is just killer. I'm laying back down now so it's manageable. I still haven't gotten any news or seen the doctor but my contractions are still coming regularly and they are actually hurting! I know that sounds like the last thing I need but I really think I'm progressing!

I wish they would check me to confirm it but I'm hopeful that this is it. It's still just early labor I believe but it's been hours and these contractions aren't going away and they're getting more painful! About 4-5 mins apart still. I've not been timing them but they're regular on the monitor.

@Danizaur: Just so you know - it's your choice. They can't not LET you have water, even they say no you can just have your SO (is he there?) go get some.
I bring my mamas food and water ALL the time - the science absolutely supports it!

I'm sorry you are in so much pain! I used to have constant pain in the area you are describing. Kind of in your pelvis but right by your hip? I always thought it was a cyst or something but it ended up being a ligament. I had to do PT.

I had awful hip pain (more the outside of my hips) throughout my labor. Maybe it's just the way baby is positioned? Hopefully LO will move soon and take some pressure off it!

@Arden: DH just talked her in to ice chips! Yay!! Such a relief. @jedeve: It starts in my hip and radiates upwards. It's tender to push on my belly there. I'm not sure.

Nurse said she thinks it's early labor!!!!!! Didn't check me but said I could go walking if I wanted to. Said it might hurt at first but it may help loosen up this pain in my side. I told DH we may try it later if I feel up to it. The bathroom break really hurt so I'm not ready to try yet.

@Danizaur: Would it be painful to sit on a yoga ball and sway or bounce? Might be easier than walking, conserve more energy, and it's great for kicking labor into gear!

@jedeve: Really awful!!! But if it's all just labor pains then I'll take it! They are getting closer together!!

@Arden: that's true! Idk if they have one here or not...I will ask when she comes back. That sounds better.

@Danizaur: Oohh sounds promising!! Crossing my fingers and toes for you

Side note my nurse said to ignore te waves on the contraction monitor because they don't accurately tell them the intensity, I would get discouraged when they weren't high!

Not dilated any. If I've made any progress it's very minimal. My nurse said she thinks I'm in early early labor just going by my contractions. They picked up in the past hour in intensity and frequency so maybe I'm just now starting to make progress. Idk. We will wait and see she said. If I am in labor we are in for a long night!

@Danizaur: I've seen lots of mamas be at 0-2cm for the first 2/3rds of their labors and then rapidly (like in two hours) go to completely dilated and pushing baby out!

    So don't get discouraged.

Sitting on the toilet might help things open up down there. I also found being on all fours to be comfortable. It will help him get into a better position.

@avivoca: I've tried changing position but the pain is excruciating whenever I try and do anything but sit up.

I got up and walked around some. Felt better on my back from being sore from sitting so long but it didn't help my side pain. It was bad the whole time. I didn't walk too long. Still contracting about every 3 mins. Waiting on them to check me again.

@locavore_mama: I don't know. She came in and did all of my background questions so I took that as a sign I would be hre a while. But she wouldn't give me a straight answer when I asked her if we would be here overnight.

    I'm still just waiting.

She checked me and she hurt me so bad it made me cry. Ugh. She said I'm possibly a 0-1 but it was a different nurse so her measurement may differ than the other nurses. So I don't feel confident I've made progress. Idk.

The side pain finally eased up!!! Have no idea why. But my contractions are definitely getting more intense. The nurse felt my belly and she said they felt like moderate contractions instead of mild like they were. Having an incredible amount of pressure all over my belly and especially in my pelvis. It hurts but right now I'm so glad the stabbing side pain is gone that I don't care. Haha

She still doesn't want to call it true labor until she checks me again in about 30 mins. If I'm dilated we will know, and if I'm not then they're still going to wait and watch me.

I'm dreading her check. She hurts. But she's really really nice. DH doesn't want her to check me lol. I burst into tears last time. Just hoping this time it's worth it.
