I'm returning to work soon and I don't think LOs wake up is going to coincide with when I need to get up for work. Do I wake her or just pump and leave without seeing her?!? We only nurse for ten to fifteen minutes (most of which is me squeezing my boobs to give her some more milk) but I'd be really sad if we had to give it up/I wouldn't get to see her. On the other hand that is totally selfish on my part and I should probably let her sleep I guess?

Adira wakes up her son to nurse every morning and he goes back to sleep. Hopefully that will be the case for you.

I pump and leave without seeing her (I leave the house around 6:45/7 and she doesn't wake up until 8). But she wakes at least a few times overnight so I see her then....yay...NOT!

Luckily my in-time on my office days are flexible, so I used to just nurse him and then go in. For my early mtg days, I'd pump and leave a bottle.

I have to wake DS up every morning bc I go to work way earlier than his wake up time and need to drop him off at daycare. I pump when I get to work bc I wake up just in time for me to get ready and get DS ready. He wakes up all night long so I'm really dragging in the morning.

I probably wouldn't, even if it made me really sad... such a tough decision to make though.

I do, because I have to take her with me to drop her off at daycare. I wait til the last second, which is usually 7 am. I feel so bad

I was really worried about this on the run up to going back to work - not the nursing part, because we FF, but the having to wake her up part. 8am was her usual wake up time. Then, on my first day back at work, she woke at 6.45am and it has stayed that way ever since! Very strange!

I don't wake lo up - he's asleep when I leave and when I get home.

I do a dream feed at 5:30 if she has slept through the night otherwise I let her sleep. I try to get two feeds in before drop off which is around 8:15.

I leave without seeing LO (14 mo). It makes me sad, but she freaks out when I leave, so even if she's awake, DH generally hangs out with her in her room. Easier for him, easier for her, sucky for me.

I have to wake her up because I have to take her to daycare. When I was still bfing I would nurse her after I woke her up. How old is your LO? I would probably try to nurse her if she went back to sleep easily.

I have to take DS to daycare so I wake him up. If we had a nanny and I could let him sleep, I would.

If things don't change between now and July, I will have to wake her up about 1/2 hour earlier than usual to get her to daycare. That being said, she sleeps (with wakeups) from 7pm-8:00am, so that will most likely change.

@yellowbird: she will be 11 weeks, she sometimes goes back to sleep easily....
I don't know how WOHMs do it...
