Just when I thought C (14 months) was starting to cut back on breastfeeding- had a couple of days where she was cutting her sessions short, not really interested, she seems even more interested than before! We have been nursing 4 times a day for several months now- wake up, after nap 1, after nap 2, before bed. Lately she has been asking for an extra session a few times a week, at different times of the day- she goes over to the nursing pillow and looks at me and does the milk sign. It's adorable and I usually will nurse her for a few minutes, and it seems like she really does eat.
She's been eating solids like normal- normal being some days I'm surprised by how much she can eat and other days she seems to hardly eat anything, basically, being a 1 year old. We've added snacks in between meals because she seemed to be getting hungry. So I'm surprised that she would want more breastmilk, not less.
The only thing I can really think of is that she is so excited to really *get* the whole signing things (I do this and that happens, woohoo!). Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I'm really not worried about it or anything, it just seems funny to me.
So much for her starting to self wean though
