DH and I tossed around the idea of having our wedding ceremony outdoors, but didn't want to take the risk with MI's sporadic weather~! So we opted to do it at my home church instead.
It did rain on the am of our wedding, so prep-wise we made the right decision.
Would have loved to have it outdoors though~

DH and i took a HUGE risk and had both our ceremony and reception outside...in May...in Buffalo. It poured the entire month of May last year...it poured the night before and the wedding that was there got soaked...i was scared, but knew we'd make the best of it no matter what. It rained the morning of and then cleared up and it was beautiful out! I'm so glad we took the risk.

We had our wedding outdoors overlooking the water. It was on the grounds of a church, so if it had rained, we would've had a Plan B.

Ours was outdoors and we had a rain scare! Luckily the forecast changed the day before our wedding... Phew!

Ceremony was outside. Reception was suppose to have been inside and outside. We got married the first weekend November in South GA. Should have still been in the 60's maybe 50's at night. We had a cold spell. Good thing we had inside for the reception once the sun went down it got cold. Of course the next weekend was perfect weather!

It's too darn hot in Texas to have an outdoor wedding so we had it indoor. Our wedding was in September and we were only outside to take pictures, and were still a hot sweaty mess.

Ours was outdoors, we picked the busiest wedding month in Florida -- November -- because of its awesome weather and lucked out. It was beautiful!

The ceremony was indoors, at my home church, and the reception was outdoors at a winery pavilion. Even though it was the end of May, it was strangely chilly and breezy! I didn't really mind, though I'm disappointed by the way some people remember our wedding now. They just talk about being cold. It wasn't THAT cold, people!

We had ours outdoors in Central PA in mid-October. We had a rain plan, but I wasn't thrilled with the idea, and apparently Mother Nature decided to listen because on our wedding day was gorgeous: 70, sunny with no clouds, and just the lightest breeze.

Ours was outdoors in the mountains in June at 5pm. There was a slight breeze and it was perfect!

Ours was outdoors at the tail end of September. I foolishly thought it would be cool enough in Texas by then. It was 97 that day. Sorry, guests.
The ceremony was totally outside, and the reception was tented. It obviously cooled down once the sun set and since our wedding was in a botanical garden, it was a few degrees cooler for that reason as well. But still, it was toasty.

Ours was supposed to be outside, but it poured, so it was inside! We had worked so hard setting up the outside area, we had haybails brought in and arranged them in rows for seating, and all the decorations, my dad spent every Saturday for a month getting the area ready:( I ended up with my wedding dress covered in mud by the end of the night... It was still perfect!

outside on the beach! we had a very small (10 people total including us, only immediate family members) destination wedding in the cayman islands! it was a perfect, sunny day and the sun set right behind us as the ceremony wrapped up. couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting!

Our was indoors in July in MN. It was one of the hottest days of the summer and for that I am kind of glad it was indoors for my guests sake. I cant imagine having them all dressed up baking outside.

Ours was outdoors on a semi-covered patio/terrace in October in Canada! There were outdoor heaters and overall, the temperature was perfect and it did not snow, which was our biggest fear!

Ours was outdoors in PA in June, with an indoor option in case of rain. I refused to look at weather all week until it was the day or so before, but everyone kept on talking about how the forecast looked awesome, and it truly was :). We had a slightly overcast day with a very mild temp. Compared to the weather we've been having the last couple of days this year (100 degrees! humid! ugh!), I count myself very fortunate!
