Had my 40 week appointment today. By LMP, this is my due date. By ovulation, it's Saturday. No dilation at all. No sign of mucus plug. However, I'm scheduled for induction Wednesday. Go in Tuesday night for meds to open cervix and hopefully jumpstart labor; if not, pitocin Wednesday morning. I'm guaranteed my doc will deliver me if I make it to induction, and that makes me happy.

I asked her why we didn't just wait another week - is the baby especially large? She said that I've got "an 8 pounder, maybe a little more." Oh my. So, I'm good with having an induction date. If I don't go into labor on my own (which I am rooting for), I have a date certain, and that actually feels kind of good.
