Yesterday there was a purple looking bump in the centre of the incision that looked like the work of an ingrowing hair but I just took a shower (yeah I know it's past 1pm, ha) and it was bleeding! It looks pretty purple and gross in that one place.Any idea what I should put on it? Sorry if that totally put you off your lunch!Oh I'm 15 weeks pp.

Hmmm....I don't want to be an alarmist, but the only person I know that ever had a Csection incision infection got put in the hospital for it, but I'm sure it had to be something much more horrendous than what you're describing...I would DEFINITELY call your dr on Mon about it just to be safe! My friend that had the infection swears it was terrible and she scared me half to death of getting a Csection!

I would put some bacitracin or something similar on it and then check with your doc. Better to be safe than sorry!

I'd get it checked out ASAP! A lady I knew had a daughter in law whose incision became infected and had to stay in the hospital for a week because the area was not draining properly.

Call! A friend of mine had an infection and she had to have her incision opened back up again.

I would not wait until Monday. If it is an infection, those things can go from bad to worse quickly.
Not trying to be an alarmist, but you'll feel better knowing what is going on!

I had the same purpleish thing on my appendix scar. It got pretty bad very quickly after that and i needed antibiotics.

Thanks everyone! DH thinks it looks like an ingrown hair but it still looks nasty. I'll call telehealth today then try get in at my doctors on Mon. Thanks again guys
