Oh my gosh ladies - last night was TOUGH! Between crazy feeding and not sleeping... Little Miss K over here was particularly fussy. She's been a champion eater for about a week now, yesterday with her longest time at one boob (28 min.) I feel like she eats a LOT more than babies who are older than her! Literally she will be on the boob for 10-15 min. usually. Take a break and want more (the other side) within the same hour. Evenings and early mornings = cluster feeding times. To the point where I don't even think I have any more milk and DH has been giving her 2 additional bottle feedings in the middle of the night. The girl is INSATIABLE!

I almost worry I don't produce enough milk for her. When I pump, the foremilk comes out fast and I always drip everywhere if I haven't fed or pumped in a couple of hours. But the flow seems to stop really quickly (around min. 5-7). I've been trying to pump up to 20 min. to see if I get the second let-down I've read about. I think I've only seen it happen once or twice, but usually nothing comes out past the 10 min. mark. Not sure if K is only getting a bunch of foremilk and not enough hindmilk from when I BF or even when I pump. I usually get about 3 oz. combined from one session. And she will nurse ~ 20-30 min. combined from both breasts.

Does this all sound normal? Or is Miss K just really, really hungry? She is 2 1/2 weeks old and I am really curious about her growth when she sees the pediatrician this week.
