I'm interviewing my first doula in person tomorrow. What should I be asking her? She's a newer doula, if that changes anything.

How many consecutive hours she will stay (some labors take a LONG time)? Also ask about back-up (if she's sick or has a personal emergency)! Try to feel out any strongly held beliefs about certain types of births and birthing environments to make sure they don't clash with your own. Also just the basics-- for how many years/births has she been a doula? Good luck! I hope your meeting goes well!

I think there've been some really thorough threads on this in the past. Here's one: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/doula-interview-questions#post-324332
