I'm no help right now, my upgrade comes in July and my iphone is cracked and not usable. Right now I'm using my husbands way old iphone and I'm debating between the S4 and the iphone 5 in July. I can tell you that the battery life on iphones is no good, my #1 complaint. I'm subscribing

I've had the galaxy s4 for a few days now and really like it so far. Ive never had an iphone (droids for the past 6 years) though so I cant give a fair comparison.

the s4 def. needs charging at least once a day, esp if youre constantly using the phone for apps and texts etc. BUT it only takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the phone. Honestly, there are so many features on this phone (esp with the camera) that i havent even had the chance to play around with it all. but the camera is really sharp and has preset editing features so you dont have to necessarily dl a bunch of camera apps.
my hubs has the s4 too and he uses his to control all of our tvs now.... just another cute feature i guess.

S4 is superior by a landslide.

I have the Galaxy Note II. The camera quality is awesome and the battery life is amazing.

I have the S III right now and I gotta say, it is pretty freaking awesome. I know so many people who have dropped their iPhone after spent some time with my phone. I wont be getting the S IIII yet since I just got this phone in Dec. I will be upgrading at some point. Who knows, Maybe an SV?

Seriously though, iPhones are great and all but they are so restrictive in what you can do and, honestly, slightly behind the times now. Also, Android updates its OS on its own every few months. Seriously. I will look at my phone and realized it updated itself to the newest OS and added features or fixed any bugs that might have been there... for free. I don't have to go buy a new phone. Period. I mean, some features are only available on new phones, thats just how phones work, but I swear with every OS update, my phone gets better and better. And I don't pay any extra.

I've got the iPhone 5 and DH has an S3. I can't STAND using his phone. it's way too big for my hand. I can never figure out how to do things quickly (and I'm pretty tech savvy!).

maybe it's me being apple stubborn (full disclosure: I've owned 3 iPods, 1 iPod touch, 1 MacBook, 1 iPad and an iPhone (omg just writing that out I feel ridiculous)) but I just find the iPhone so much easier to use I've never had an issue with the "restrictiveness" of iOS. my main decision maker though... the size of the phone for my midget hands

I have the iPhone5, and I love it. I definitely don't use all of its features, but I find it easier than the Android platform.

Samsung. I love Samsung so much. I also like that I can stick a 32GB (or bigger) memory card in it and store as many photos, movies and TV shows I want on it.

My husband just got the S4 yesterday, and I have to admit that it is pretty cool! He spent all night playing with it, and figuring out all the new features. my mom has the Iphone 5, and I actually didn't notice the size difference. Maybe go into the store and test both of them out at the same time, if size is an issue for you.

We're so sucked in to Apple...I could never give up my iPhone even though I think the Samsung phone commercials are pretty cool. I just like Apple and I like how everything -MacBooks, ipad, phones- all "talk" to each other and sync up on the cloud without me doing anything.

We're looking in to the Galaxy phones when we get back to the states. I have an iTouch, iPad and iMac and I still dont think I'm sold on the iPhones.

My brother made the switch from iPhone to Samsung last year and he loves his new phone.

@allison: I have the samsung gallery express, which I think is the mini version. My dad just got the s4, and his is much bigger than mine. As far as I can tell, the functionality is mostly the same!

@allison: what did you end up getting?

I have the iPhone 5 but I wish i had the S4. I mean my iPhone dropped on the ground the other day and i found myself praying it was broken so I could get an S4 (no such luck). I had a Droid X before my iPhone and Android was just SO much better, interface wise.

@yellowbird: lucky! I have another year on my iphone 5 contract unless I break it first. (guess I could sell it but eh... i'm lazy and it's sort of beat up.)
