For some reason my email on my iPhone isn't working. I tried shutting my phone down and it hasn't fixed the issue. Any suggestions?

Are you checking mail through the Mail app or using some sort of Gmail app?
I googled and found this apple support page. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3058

Is this happening or something else?

@bluestriped bee: thank you! I'll check out those links. I have my gmail set up in the setting and am using the mail app
(Not a separate gmail app)
