I'm worried that my grandma is going to bring up the delivery room for the third time, at Christmas. The first time she asked, I was just like "Probably DH and me". She dropped it but the second time she got a bit miffed at me. She was basically saying that my mom would be in there and I couldn't stop her and that I should let whoever wants to be there come in.
Fwiw, my mom and husband and I have a great plan (and an understanding that childbirth is quite unpredictable) that we are all comfortable with. But I feel like its no one else's business. My mom will be in the room just when DH needs a break (fresh air, sandwich, whatever) but other than that, she will be in the waiting room or at our house letting the dogs out, etc.
I'm worried that my grandma is going to bring up the delivery room again and I don't want to have to defend my decision or listen to her try to turn my childbirth into a spectator sport.
Did you run into this? How did you handle it?
