The shorter one looks nicer and more expensive.

I don't think the shorter one would like weird next to a taller crib, so if you like the look of that one, I think you should go with it. How tall are you? I think someone who is shorter would have a harder time with a taller crib.

I like them both, but personally I think the taller one matches the change table a little better and prefer that style, but that is totally just my own personal preference. And our crib looks sort of like the taller one so I'm biased.

I have a shorter crib, and LO is still not crib vaulting at 22 months. He is tall and could do it if he tried. But he's also pretty cautious. I think it's temperament, not crib height, that's the key ... in other words, if you have a dare-devil, a couple more inches won't stop them!

@PurpleUnicorn: Don't feel bad, C's room isn't totally finished and she's almost eight months. We have traveled a lot and stayed w/ family so we haven't always been at our place, but I'm going to put up the last couple things next week.
