I'm 15w4d pregnant and stopped nursing LO#1 six months ago. But just starting yesterday, I've been having sharp stabbing pains in my right boob that feels similar to the pain I had when I had mastitis back when LO was a newborn.
Is this possible?

I had sharp stabbing pain while pregnant and I think it was just my breasts growing and all the blood going there. I hadn't nursed in 2 years so for sure it wasn't mastitis.

You can have sharp shooting pains in your breasts during pregnancy and also during a bout of mastitis, but it doesn't mean that when you have it while pregnant, that you have mastitis.
Mastitis is a more likely a condition in someone who is lactating and complaining of breast pain, in addition to a fever, flu-like symptoms, and an area of redness, swelling and warmth on one breast (usually).
Without any other report of symptoms, what you're probably feeling is just one of the many growing pains we women sometimes go through while pregnant. Hope it gets better soon!
