MI is known to have two seasons: Winter & Construction Season. SERIOUSLY.
Took me almost two hours to go 15 miles yesterday from my office to house. Every road was blocked at some point by back to back cars or construction or closed roads!
Leaving at four today to hopefully (knock on wood) bypass some of it!

There's always flipping road construction going on here! And ones that are currently process have a "deadline" of like 2025 back when they started in 2009. What the freak. Why does it take so dang long????

Yep, always from like Feb/March to November...and always at the same time in the same area making it extra hard to get around. We haven't gone downtown in months due to how torn up it is.

Yep, we have that saying in WI too!
I work in the industry so I can put up with it a little better than I used to. @Alivoo01: It takes so long because traffic still needs to use the road. It could be done in a quarter of the time if you could shut the whole roadway down, but that usually doesn't go over very well

Ugh, yes. They are constructing two new bridges and rerouting the interstates downtown and it's a NIGHTMARE.

Yup, we have construction season and rain.
I'm about 15 minutes from my OBs satellite office, and there is so much construction that at this point it would be easier to go to their hospital location that's 45 minutes away with no traffic.
I'm really glad Chloe wasn't with me this morning!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: There's a TON of construction at our hospital as well!! It makes it *really* difficult to get there, and if you don't know about it before-hand (like if you're driving there in an emergency...) you would get SO lost and spend and extra 20 minutes driving in circles trying to get there 
I thought you guys might appreciate this...
