So I took a cheapie on Sunday and it was clearly positive, not a dark line but by no means a squinter. I took a crappy photo (because my 5 year old was awake and I didn't want him to ask me about it) and threw it away. I assumed I'd get more 
tests so I started to get excited! Then Monday morning, I took another cheapie from a new pack and it was maaaayyyybe a squinter. I was disappointed and also threw it away. Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, also maybe a squinter or evap, then Tuesday afternoon and this morning (Weds.) started to look slightly less squinty. I was thinking it was a bad lot, or maybe the first one on Sunday was a bad lot? But then I took another one today (no longer FMU) and got a definite positive on a totally different kind, but outside the time window. Here are the pictures, what do you think? Is this real or just evaps - and why was it so obviously positive on Sunday and then light again and now starting to appear?? (I think I just want reassurance after the MC.)

I see it perfectly clearly in Tuesday p.m. as well as the bottom picture (I see something in the others too but much less obvious). Internet cheapies are really bad about being consistent or getting darker. I would run and get an FRER. Also, for me, my afternoon or evening tests were always darker than my FMU! Good luck!!

When I was still 8-10DPO, I had much better luck with PM test (non FMU). So your Tuesday afternoon makes sense!

@mrskansas: No clue... I had a D&C on Dec 15 so I'll call that CD1, earliest BD was Dec 30/CD15, so if I O'd on CD15 I would have been 9dpo on Sunday when I got the BFP.

@winniebee: I am trying so hard to cut costs and was trying not to spend the extra $ on a FRER but now you're enabling me
I usually don't obsess this much and for my first 3 pregnancies I stopped after one BFP but after the MC, plus now the varying results after 4 days of testing, I'm going crazy!

@shellio: Did you have your HCG levels tracked after your D&C? Sometimes it can take a little while for HCG to totally leave your system (several weeks to a month), therefore there can be a delayed ovulation. I would get an FRER or have your HCG levels checked!

I was going to ask the same thing as winniebee. I had a MC on December 7 and even though I passed everything that day, my levels didn't drop for at least 10 days after and they were low to begin with (1,800).
I wouldn't necessarily be worried about this being residual hCG but I'd suggest going for betas. -
If you can, I would go in and have betas done, just for peace of mind. I've found curved frer's are also lousy at getting darker, I would put that money towards betas

@winniebee: I got a first beta draw that same day - then started my period the next day, womp womp! I'm glad to be back on a regular TTC cycle, since my O date will be more predictable and I'll have a solid due date if we do get our BFP. Thanks for checking in!
