I'm a WOHM teacher and I pump twice a day...once while eating breakfast at home and once during my lunch period. My pumped supply has made a slow and steady decline even while drinking enough water to fill the Atlantic Ocean and taking MMP supplements.
I've only gotten 7 oz. during the past few days during the two pump sessions. My plan was to pump/BF until R was 6 months old on a Christmas Day (no judgment, please - I'm impressed I made it through the first 2.5 months of the school year). I'm trying to tell myself that it's worth it to go a month and a half longer but it's discouraging to pump so little.
I BF R twice a day on weekdays and four times a day on weekends. We have been supplementing with formula on a regular basis since September. What would you do?
Like you, my goal is 6 months, and I'm pretty bummed that I don't think I'll make it there. I'm still nursing G to sleep at night, so I'm debating dropping my pump sessions and just nursing in the morning & evening, but I'm afraid my supply won't survive it.
It's soo frustrating though, isn't it? I hate getting a measly ounce or two from a pump session
