J is gross motor skills all the way! Running, climbing, jumping, etc. But encouraging fine motor skills is a little harder. His attention span for coloring, puzzles, etc is a minute or two. I'm not worried since he's not behind or anything but I wonder if most kids tend to be one over the other...?

Equally both. Her new big thing is to make necklaces and bracelets. My mom found my old caboodle case filled with beads and string, and Chloe has a field day hand picking beads and making her own jewelry.
But she is just as happy to run around, climb, jump, and play outside!

Interesting - I have never thought of this but looking now DS is def more fine motor skills oriented and DD is gross motor!

C is more fine, for sure. She is also more verbal than physical-- like she was babbling much earlier than most of her friends the same age, but crawled on the slightly later side than average among our play group. Our friend's son is the exact opposite-- crawled early, walking before his first birthday, but didn't make any true babbling noises until a year.

I think equally both. He's def all about running around and climbing things. But he also loves crafts, his matchbox cars, drawing, etc.

both fine motor.
charlie was average for gross motor, but he has some friends that are serious athletes! olive was behind in gross motor.

E seems ahead of the curve in gross motor skills that I wouldn't expect of a kid her age....like using forks...just kind of surprised how quickly she masters physical skills.

Lo is definitely gross motor, but fine motor arent far behind. Communication is where he is lagging behind a little.

Fine motor until around age 3...then he learned how to jump and now he's gross motor!

Paige will run and climb and jump every given chance. But she also loves to paint and play with playdoh. She also loves buckling and unbuckling clasps and zippers. So I'd say she's pretty equal.

I think she is equally both- walking, climbing, jumping but also loves coloring, puzzles, picking up small things and putting them in containers, etc.

Fine motor skill oriented. She did puzzles before she took her first steps.
