DH just took it out and I've spent a good HOUR vacuuming and sweeping up pine needles from everywhere!

Yes! I always light mine until January 6th, the Epiphany. As a kid, my family exchanged one small gift under the tree on that day. It is a tradition I can't wait to have with my LO! Since I am on maternity leave, I will definitely take it down on Monday.

Yep, and I'll leave it up as long as DH will let me. I love my tree this year and I'll be sad when I have to take it down.

We took ours down on the 29th because we were going out of town, but usually I wait until the 1st!

No, took it down the 29th as well, like Bao, for space. So many baby contraptions that corner was too valuable!

I usually wait for the epiphany, but seeing as I'm due the day before I think I'll take it down today. I can imagine it'll drive me nuts if it's not down before the baby gets here.

Yes. I'm determined to get a family picture in front of it and it still hasn't happened. Bad boy might be up until February.

Nope, took it down 2 days after Christmas. DH thinks it is bad luck to have it up after New Years. Southern thing.
nectarine / 2063 posts
Yes. We put it up late so we are leaving it up later then usual. May take it down this weekend or next. Not in a hurry, it makes our home look homey.

I can't wait to take it down! Probably this weekend, but I still haven't gotten a family picture in front of it.
nectarine / 2797 posts
Yup, we leave it up until Epiphany too. Probably will try and take it down that day, but if not then the following weekend.
pomegranate / 3383 posts
Yes. We didn't get to put it up until the 23rd so I'm keeping it up a little longer. I'll probably take it down next weekend,

We took ours down yesterday and dropped it off at the city's tree depot. We both went back to work today, so wanted to have it taken care of before we got back into our non-holiday routine

No, we took ours down Dec 29th. We like putting the tree up super early and taking it down almost right away after xmas.
pineapple / 12802 posts
I would have taken mine down after xmas, except I got sick. So now I'm waiting until I'm not feeling lazy. I hate taking down the tree but it NEEDS to be done.
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
Ours is still up, we will likely take everything down this weekend.

The tree is still up and will stay around for another week or so. My city provides curb side tree pick up, which will start next week I think.
pomegranate / 3160 posts
Sadly, no. We took down the last of our Christmas stuff yesterday (well, I should say that DH took down the tree yesterday...everything else was already packed up). I tried to convince him that we should totally leave our outside lights up, but he wasn't having it.
