I would say my home is fairly tidy. I do have to agree that less internet/tv = cleaner home!

I would say the downstairs... yes. The master bedroom is generally the messiest room in our house because we are literally only in there to sleep. There are lots of clothes all over.
If I had less internet time, my house would definitely be cleaner. lol. I struggle to stay on top of the dishes, thats my main problem area, and also to put away laundry when it's clean and folded.
ETA: We don't own tons of stuff and that DEFINITELY helps. So I 100% agree with that. I regularly try to purge and get rid of crap.

I think it's pretty tidy. I hate clutter so everything is in it's place. The floors need to be cleaned though. We are having people over Friday so I'm holding off on cleaning them

right now?? Not really lol
With both of us working full time and having three children one of which is only 10weeks old...things get disorganized and out of hand quickly.
We do our best though.

We're pretty tidy. My DH is ADHD and can't stand any kind of mess or anything being out of it's place which really helps. It also forces me to be neater since I know it's going to bother him if I leave something sitting out. Plus we live in such a small space that any kind of mess is super amplified, so we're more motivated to keep things neat.

@Bao: I sometimes give up on trying to make sure the floors are clean all the time. LO will always litter the floor with crumbs, but i guess it's the potential mice that motivates me to keep the floors food free!
@zippylef: LOL, are you sure we're not sharing the same master bedroom? We have the same problem. I'm lucky that DH hates clutter, and i attribute our mess-free home to him!

Hmmm. Our coffee table is always cluttered because it's just where we put everything. Puppy brings us something he shouldn't have? Coffee table. Pay a bill? Put it on the coffee table!!
The kitchen and hall way isn't bad, and the spareroom and office are clean, but our bedroom right now is an EXPLOSION because I'm re-organzing/doing laundry/unpacking. So right now... I'd give us a 4/10. lol

@Freckles: I could clean them everyday, seriously. However, I would stress over it too much so I don't do it that often.

The house is generally clean and tidy minus the toys everywhere.

It's only DH and I right now until baby arrives but we keep things pretty tidy and I do a lot in that article OP posted. Well, DH only keeps things tidy because it bothers me to have piles of stuff around. I like clear surfaces, things put away.

Nope because the hubby is horrible at helping it stay that way once I do get it tidy! Maybe one day...

Not so much. We try. But the clutter builds up with a life of its own sometimes! So it's not horrible, but not super tidy either. I agree that if we spent half the time we spent on the internet or watching TV on cleaning or tidying, it would be a lot better.
And baby isn't even here yet.

Less tidy since DD came along for sure! But yes, generally quite tidy, other than our kitchen table which has become a dumping zone/downstairs change station.
