We are both sick so I made some chicken nuggets for lunch. She was enjoying hers plain when she noticed that I was dipping my nuggets in BBQ sauce...she started pointing and screaming for it. I dipped one for her and she loved it!

Kids love dipping things in sauces. I can get my son to eat a variety of different things just by offering dipping sauces (like ketchup, bbq sauce, honey, mayo..anything!)

@banana: I'm going to offer her sauces when I feed her boiled chicken!

My LO assumes that I eat yummy food, and he will always ask for a bite. Then he keeps asking for more

She often wants what I have, even if it's the same thing as what she has.

Yes, which is why I can't ever eat anything that is different in front of her unless I'm willing to share. She always wants what I have!

Oh yeah. We did BLW mostly by giving her the food on our plate. Now if she's eating anything new or unique, it has to be from our plates. She'll eat most anything that we're eating.

He always wants what I have and never what he has! Looking forward to 9 mos when we can stop introducing foods in 3 day chunks....

Yes lo will eat things she doesnt even like if she sees i'm eating them.

Yep! He just wants to eat what you eat. Makes eating peanut butter&honey on toast or popcorn difficult. #firstworldproblems

Yep, even though we always eat the same meals (BLW) he always thinks mine is better, so if he is being a tentative eater, a few bites off of my fork always gets him eating more.

Yes, we're to the point where she always wants my food now. If we're eating the same food, mine is always better. If she doesn't like the food I'm eating, she still has to try it. And then say no, and then ask for more. And then say no again. And ask for more again.
Now I can't eat the yummy foods I love that she's not allowed to have in front of her, like runny eggs, things with nuts, and shellfish.

we're just starting to notice this, if we eat dinner early enough we sit DS in his high chair with us (and also meals on wknds) and he always stares at us and the food on the table. he's only 4 months, but i think he may be ready in the next couple of months!

yes, she is totally more interested in our food than her own. she also grabbed my cup when I went to take a sip of water last night, put her mouth to the edge and tipped it! luckily she didn't end up soaked but she seems to want to totally skip bottles (refuses them) and move to big girl cups.
